back to pre results level 350p to buy. looks far too cheaptiger
Re: great results and developments update Yes when I bought the shares in Spring last year I was expecting recovery was going to take much longer:I agree there is still much potential here.
great results and developments update I was very pleased with the results this morning. They have a lot going on , so i like that the strategy is to simplify.I also like the detailed and clear information they give on businesses and strategy. It takes a lot of work to read and understand the different businesses, but in simple terms IMHO....- there are recurring and improving profits of 12m, - debt of £15m- assets for disposal of £35m which will be CASH within 18mths. directors also indicate potential to the upside- and development assets which have a market value of £50m and development value of £80mso for me current debt is sustainable with ongoing businesses, and the £130m MV will probably 'return/IPO' £35m + £65m over the next 2 years....leaving a business with £12m profits at a net purchase cost of £30m!!that to me leaves a lot of upside which could get exaggerated if they start share buy backs etc.. with surplus CASH next year. All IMHO, DYOR + BoLHSP is in my portfolio
Re: interesting ..planning permission The share price is up by nearly 70% since I bought here last Spring.I think £130m is the present book net asset value of the company;but should be substantially increased when the Edinburgh site is fully realised;there are other developments possible. The shares remain good value to say the least.............it will take at least three years to reach their full potential and I have no doubt the company's existing businesses should grow in addition.
interesting ..planning permission market cap of this company at 265p per share is £80million.. value of this site now with planning permission is £130million... looks like a no brainer
Re: What's a fair price? Buy some more as they have there fingers in plenty of pies and takeovers in the pipeline plus not much coal at the power stations and don't forget ac blackwell they have some big jobs coming off these will be going up mark my words
Re: What's a fair price? We will probably get a bettr idea of future prospects when results to 30/11/16 are announced on Wednesday as I assume an update will also be given.
What's a fair price? I'm now over 40% up on my purchase of these and am starting to wonder at what price to sell. Although I think the shares still aren't fully valued, it is going to be a few years before the real value is outed.I'm thinking that £3 may be a good price to sell at if they reach there in a fairly short space of time.Does anybody else have an opinion?
Re: Bought in Topping up in the morning onwards and upwards
Re: Bought in Hargreaves Logistics are moving the coal from Ferrybridge power station to Immingham
Re: Bought in The most recent update indicated that contracts to sell suprlus coal stocks had been made;however any cold weather should increase demand for the coal import distribution business & the Ayrshire coal mine. I am pleased with the progress the company is making & I am showing a significant profit on my investment but we are just at the start of the recovery.
Re: Bought in King coal is back gridd is running high and it's not even winter yet
Re: Bought in These are on the rise now plenty of new contracts in biomass ship's being unloaded waste contracts down London canals being dredged moving scrap metals for emr, salt moving, coal now being burnt at power station's check this out uk national gridstatus temples. Also contracts with cement works and the list goes on not to mention wind farms, building land.
Bought in I've bought a few of these for my small SIPP as there appears to be a viable business in the ashes, albeit on a much smaller scale than previously plus the possibility of significant cash being realised from disposals over the next few years well in excess of the market cap.Significant director buying gives me some confidence too.
Results Some progress appears to being made.Fair long term value I think although I would not want to pay much more than the present price;at least one fund manager appears to be adding shares based on to-days RNS.
