Re: Hold on guys..... Wow!!! shugg1e I admire your optimism. Who knows, you could be right 3 to 4 years is a long, long time. $100 for silver and $5000 for gold may be possible. If things get bad, investors hold as a store of value and if it booms people buy luxury goods. HOC, FRES and CEY have done me very proud so far. Lets hope the trend continues.
Re: Hold on guys..... Yellens speech tomorrow afternoon eastern time will be pivotal on the short term movement of gold and silver but longer term 3-5 years it's heading to $100 which will propel HOC to around £45 a share.
Re: Hold on guys..... Since beginning of August silver has fallen in price 10% which is a good explanation as to why HOC closing SP has fallen 13.8%. FRES has fallen a similar amount. I was wondering if worth buying now but it is all a gamble on silver price, which is impossible to predict with any accuracy.Investors who took profit when SP was above 300p were being smart, regretting not doing same myself, would have sold some if I had a larger holding. Fingers crossed that silver moves up in price appreciably soon.
Hold on guys..... ..some of the big guys, who got it all wrong, like JPM need to stock up at a lower price. Sold half mine at 305.5. Now back in at 257.8. HOC is one of the "best in class" and will be back at 300 p soon. GLAH.
Re: HOCHSCHILD share price to soar? Maybe, this is the case of ''sell on the good news'', who knows, anyway summer is over and heavy guns should be shortly back in the office, waiting for September to see movement in SP
Re: HOCHSCHILD share price to soar? Probably not today either! Maybe one should always do the opposite to analysts advice.
Re: HOCHSCHILD share price to soar? not today, in any case
HOCHSCHILD share price to soar? Following even better than expected results on 16/08/2016:JP Morgan 16/08/2016: Hochschild Mining "is inexpensive versus peers".Investors Chronicle 17/08/2016: Hochschild Mining "is priced at a significant discount to sector peers."
Re: RNS comment HOC Swings back into profit Ended the week at 312p, a solid break over 300p. In the face of a falling silver price I think that's a pretty impressive result.Should silver reverse and head back over the 20's I think we are looking at an easy 350p possibly 400p even in the short term. It's all down to the price of silver now.
JM Morgan analysis of HOC [link] above link:JP Morgan was impressed by the results and the much improved leverage, but said "one wrinkle" was the indefinite permitting delay at the new Pablo vein, "which we believe may negatively impact plant utilisation and unit costs in 2017", but said on its revised forecasts "HOC is inexpensive versus peers".Seriously thinking of topping up. Looks there is at least another 20% upside in SP over the next 12 months, providing price of silver does not fall sharply.
RNS comment HOC Swings back into profit This is the news we've been waiting for. A number of years of loss making resulted in some big losses on the HOC share price but the debt reduction and improvements in efficiency as well as the POS increasing have delivered HOC back into profit.I think there was an expectation of this news hence the significant share price rises in recent months, however it's early in the UK market and once the market digests the news I would expect to see another big rise during the rest of the week. If the price of silver holds up, might we expect 350p plus by the end of the week? Quite possibly. Technically there doesn't seem to be much holding HOC back from further gains. Lets have a strong and sustained break through 300p and away we go, next stop 500p but perhaps not for a few months yet.
