Re: Research Sorry, forgot the "BUY" Rec.
Re: Research Yes, Nicky, the last set of results were showing a significant increase in revenue and I guess the next will show a continuing trend. The research demonstrates a much wider range of applications than those currently in use so HDD's order book has a massive potential for growth. One thing the number crunchers can't capture is how the consumer will react to the increased popularity of HDD's products in the absence of toxic predecessors.Good luck, TP

Re: Aerospace Manufacturing and Design artic... Good find, Nicky. Interesting article, but then, it would be, written by one of the directors of HDD. Hope it attracts the attention of prospective customers.TP

Patience is required here HDD have now got approvals but it will take some time before the orders flow.It is looking close to a Buy area and if it drops below 1.45p I reckon its a buy.For now I am just holding.
No news of Any orders flowing from the last two big news items. Now, two months on from the NADCAP acreditaion we are still waiting for the holy grail to land.An update on routine stuff would be helpful.Meanwhile the sp drifts gently downwards.Sad really.Come on BoD. Let's have some action !Please TP
HDD...being honest/ I actually sold out of HDD a few days back and almost immediately felt bad.Luckily it was at a price over 2p and when by luck s/p fell back I bought back in.The next day we got good news and I breathed a sigh of relief.Put it this way,I won't be making that mistake again and am here for the long old slog. One of you mentioned (badinvestment I think) about EU banning chrome-didn't know this.Well every little helps as they say.
Re: On the contrary... Valerija,I remember years ago that the uk plant had capacity of about £5 million in orders, so at a guess £7 million for both UK and US. But they may have added more capacity to the UK since!?C
Re: On the contrary... Clearly HDD is being priced on potential not profitability, as is often the case with companies trying to break into new markets. And, yes, I know, HDD has been doing this for many years. But it seems as though, at last, the potential is being realised and recognised by the market. The slow climb to prosperity has begun. This is only going one way now. The orders will be flowing in soon enough.Luck all, TP
Re: On the contrary... On the no new plant point, my query was around do they need any or is there loads of capacity left in existing plant?Mikemine about ? Seem to recall he has visited the factory more than once..and would no doubt have asked such questions..
Re: On the contrary... One change has not been mentioned in this discussion. The EU are banning hard chrome plating. That is one very large potential market when all the bearing surfaces that currently use HCP are taken into account. Vehicle suspension, hydraulic rams etcHardide are well placed to take a slice of these markets. It represents good potential, even if it is et to be converted into orders.
Canhope et al/ Agreed,Suppose the point I am trying to make here to You and everyone else (me included) is I feel a lot more confident with this share than I do with many others on AIM.HDD I buy and forget.
Re: On the contrary... In the last few months...no new plant.. that is from before!New Orders.... ummmm... not really.. these have been existing customers reordering. When Hardide updated the market they said that they were trading in line with Analyst Expectations!Yes they have got some more accreditations but not orders. And we need significant orders to get into profitability!Don't get me wrong I like HDD and have held (and traded) shares in HDD for many many years for the days of 16p (from memory). But lets not get carried away.C
