Falling knife bounced Time for a strategic withdrawal after taking a healthy profit and a modest dividend. As has been shown already once, gaming shares could get caught in the new circumstances of a general election and become a political pinball. All bets are off for me until after an election concluded. PB.
Falling knife bounced Since December purchase , share has pretty much gone as expected. Bottomed out, bounced along bottom and started to climb as the good news started to come in. Two upgrades in forecast profit, debts reset at lower interest, dividend up 10%, multiple Director buys at £5.88 (including £5m worth by CEO which is better than his £14m sale at £6.66 in March.
Atlantic cm Contacted out of the blue suggesting a buy here on Wednesday 17th July at 605p. And taking profit today @ 10am
Brexit bargain? Its a falling knife. Its lost its direction and the Ladbrokes acquistion was brain dead vanity lead by outmoded bankers. Tasers all round in the board room, they all need a slap too.
Brexit bargain? Bought back into GVC after an absence as it seems rather tempting after swallowing a rather large morsel. The management have proved capable at digesting acquisitions and wringing out significant benefits in the past. The large debt taken on for Ladbroke and the market jitters about the end of the world/Brexit/recession/£2 betting stakes have seen a 45% drop in SP from the year high. Given the ever greater exposure to well regulated markets, the diversity of ncome streams online and by shop, plus the potential in the USA via MGM, I anticipate caskflow that will cut debt swiftly and lead to healthy dividends again GLA PB
What's happened to the share price then? 16.5% down over September alone!
Mgm deal $200m On the face of it this looks an excellent tie up for GVC. The American market could and should be huge for GVC. With its experience gained in Europe for in game betting, combined with the familiar name of MGM to Americans this should be a market leading winning combination. The share price increase this morning (5-6%) has reflected this, but I think this is only the start. I for one will be watching developments closely.
Mgm deal $200m It will be interesting to see how the GVC sp reacts next week. I am up 70% after 18 months, so a little extra would be nice.

GVC impact from new rules ? GVC impact from new rules ? Could somebody help please? How would I enter a new purchase of GVC, I have looked all over!
Congrats to Kenny What an achievement in a few short years -a tiny obscure Aim listed sports betting company majoring in operating in countries where sports betting was probably illegal to owning major brands, being included in the Ftse 100 & ,IMO, set to grow further over the next 2/3 years, especially following US deregulation.
Re: dividends On their past performance
Re: dividends On what basis do you give a buy rating if you don't know the dividend or profit forecasts/estimates?Not criticising, just curious.
Re: Strong trading update Disappointed no forecast of dividends. Also no confirmation on what's happening with the contingent rights for former Lads shareholders. My own view is that if implementation of £2 max bet is delayed beyond 2020 they might be worth something.
