Beer Crisis [link] Time to stock up !
64% of men, and 53% of women Often the problem with my local GK pub. Huge beer garden and when the sun is out, it’s packed to the rafters. Which is great to see, but unfortunately the bar staff are simply unable to manage it. No fault of the staff, but there is only so much space behind the bar. They used to have a hut in the garden, that served bottles of beer, wine and cider which really helped. For some reason this was done away with. Still, as a shareholder I shouldn’t complain that it’s too busy for the staff to cope.

Re: Short Squeeze continues A 5% rise today on no (obvious) news is a little out of character. I'm not complaining, but does anyone know why? Perhaps the new vegan menu excites ...[link]
Re: Short Squeeze continues And there was me thinking it was a close friend giving up Fosters for a pint of IPA.
Short Squeeze continues SP continuing its rise, shorts reported down from peak of 10.5% (2 months ago) to 5.7%, probably now lower as it takes a few days for the data to be registered.
Re: Spike It's short coverin
Re: Spike Ended up 6% but not clear why, volume not that high, the only news was an RNS by DB on 21st showing a reduction in holding. Some warm weather and a few events coming may help, but with forecast forward P/E of 9 to 10, it would need a heck of a binge to move the mkt cap by 6%. One does wonder if there is any positive news about to come out, if so there will be a few people suffering from a bad pint and asking for the barrel to be checked.I suspect that this is more a reflection that things have stopped getting worse rather than a sign that they about to get a lot better, but either way its welcome.Whatever the reason, the rise pushed the SP decisively through resistance at 580p, a move above ~610p would suggest break out of the downtrend then clear to 650p. Re: Spike Absolutely correct. If beast from the east kicks in the winter then what does sunshine do in the summer. Fund management not that bard is it?😁
Re: Spike And a few days of sunny weather and nice full beer gardens
Re: Spike UK is now undervalued and cheap. We are now in a strong bull run. Brexit has faded, market now looking through itGNK way oversold. More to come across the board. FTSE 350 a good place to be.M
Re: Spike Hi H2MoneyAM is showing 118,679 as purchases 453,225 as sales with a total volume of 178,672.Seems odd perhaps their not so hot on maths.
Spike GNK up over 20p, can't see any news to drive this, anyone know why?H2
Re: Doubled up Doesn't the price you pay already discount any expected gain from May bank holiday trading? Or have you uniquely spotted an easy profit buying shares in pub companies when summer arrives?
Doubled up because the forecast is for splendid May Bank Holiday long weekend weather. That sort of luck can make all the diffference. As good a reason as any, to go with the theory that the shorts are unbunching now under 7.5%, the next news will hopefully be good news in the results, and in any case my belief there is a sustained dividend on its way.
