Re: EGM Surely that is not the same one that they so desperately needed to raise money in 24hrs so they could launch. Something so marvellous that it had to be launched before the General Election. Quite why it had to be launched before the Election was not made clear. As the election is just 6 days away I'm sure the forthcoming announcement will make it all clear.Either that or our CEO was spouting a load of BS to Julio.
Re: EGM In the AGM Statement:"We continue to work on the launch of a closed end fund, focusing on a loan portfolio diversified by geography, size of loan, type of lending and duration. We believe that our unique position, in having detailed insight into the platforms with whom we work and a seat on the Board of each of our platforms will be of great benefit to the fund, both in absolute and relative terms."
Re: EGM The Julio,So whats happened to this 'Closed End Fund' that 'Geoff' the CEO used to justify the urgent need to raise funds to the exclusion of ordinary PI's. Quote from his e-mail to you dated 25/02'' It would have removed the potential for us to launch a closed end fund before the General Election and thus been self-defeating in its aim of accelerating the growth of the company'''No mention of it at the AGM as far as I am aware !Perhaps you can ask for an update ?
interim divi declared, on track for 8.5% yield
always a sign when a number of directors buy stock
Re: Buy not showing I often buy through Barclays and it doesn't show on the market - I assume it is because Barclays hold the shares themselves and are selling them on to me.

Re: Buy not showing I often have purchases which do not show up. This occurs when they have been bought through someone I have never heard of.As long as I have my contract note at the price I agreed, frankly I do not care!!!
Buy Simon Thompson in the Investor's Chronicle tips them as a Buy: TP 80pHigh-yield play with growth prospects True, some of these investments will take time to come to fruition, but, in the meantime, GLI's board has already committed to maintaining the company's dividend per share of 5p during this transitional period as they expect the income stream from these alternative investments to be at least as high as the income received from the collateralised debt obligations (CDOs) which have now all been sold off.In the circumstances, I feel that GLI's shares continue to offer a decent combination of income (8.7 per cent dividend yield) and potential for capital growth as I noted when I updated the investment case ('Income plays with capital upside', 18 February 2015), having initiated coverage at 53.5p ('Funded for growth', 25 February 2014). My medium-term target of 80p is not unreasonable and I maintain my buy recommendation
Buy not showing Bought 21828 at 08:13 today through SharePrice site, and I have the contract note to prove it, but not showing on any sites, even LSE - odd and I wonder how and why this can happen?
Re: Well, FYR's caused a reaction Thank you-that is VERY informative.

Re: Well, FYR's caused a reaction The results have a fair helping of jam tomorrow as they move emphasis. It is also far from obvious to me why they so urgently needed to raise cash through that placing last month. So I guess the jury is out on this one for a while. It will be interesting to see if the directors now buy in know that the closed period has passed.
Well, FYR's caused a reaction In my naivety I thought the results were acceptable so I look forward to those who understand better an illumination as to why the fall.
looks interesting at 8% yield
