Re: Kestrel's Holding I see nothing sinister in what Kestrel are doing. I have had money in a number of companies where Kestrel have had a stake including KBC and have done very nicely by doing so.I think we have to remember that Kestrel are fund managers and as such their positions in various companies will depend on the risk they see not just regarding individual companies but also the sectors they belong to and their total existing positions in those sectors. KBC is in a different market sector to GHT, it is in a different stage in its development than GHT and is affected by different external factors.Kestrel are probably a lot more disciplined in the percentages they hold in different companies than many of us PIs are.

Kestrel's Holding Kestrel are sitting on a pile of cash after recent TO's. They have been strongly buying KBC and made frequent GHT purchases recently. At these levels I would have thought they would want a bigger stake here in which case as one of their own is a Non Exec perhaps the window has now closed as they are privy to something not on the public domain?

Sexy tech.......and the answer is CTC!!!! ResultsA lot of detail here but in essence the whole future is focussed on CTC and having read what this delivers for banks - faster implementation of multiple reconciliations - 10 times faster than a competitive solution - it sounds like this is a market leader in technology. As a result, this is now about whether they can deliver the sales because the product is a winner. The new CEO has a background of delivering sales. The Board are also starting to offer the allure paying dividends and or a buy back 10% of shares hence we are being seduced by the prospect of capital/revenue returns - always a welcome prospect.Sounds like a plan.

They got the capital reduction The results look encouraging with CTC leading the way. SO WHY GO FOR A SHARE BUYBACK.I suppose this is there way of returning capital to shareholders. There are two thoughts on this. 1. They don't know what to do with the cash they have even down to investing more in existing operations. 2. They can't invest anywhere else with the growth potential they expect from CTC.jmo

Re: New CEO coming & huge volumes traded This looks like a positive move by the Board and it is also good to see this is a managed handover with the current CEO moving into a NED role - which means none of the intellectual capital is lost.Ian's background in international sales and management seems a very solid fit for the business and I wish him every success. They do have a good product - they "simply" need to get it out there which requires good sales engagement and time. Increasing the sales efforts are likely to cost profit in the short term but if Ian can bring a few early wins in, this business will sky rocket.A great move by the Board.

New CEO coming & huge volumes traded This mornings RNS announces that Ian Manocha from SAS Institute will start in June. Perhaps the proposal to increase the Share Options was part of the enticement for this 'high calibre' CEO.More shares in GHT traded today so far than HSBC!! Very large movements going on. 2 trades of approx 1.75M shares each before 10am. Over 60% of shares are held by the top 10 institutional holders - Majedie were the latest to increase. The chairmans comment implies upcoming results will be good. Finals expected late March.SG

Re: On track... With such a positive report and outlook it is hard to see why there was such a large "correction" last year. And they are working towards paying a dividend (see proposal to GM). One might expect that the SP would gradually reflect that and return to earlier levels (120 plus). Just recently added to holding. I have held GHT for quite a few years now. Good company.

Re: On track... Is that 3million each. I guess it is!Good if there is more traction with CTC

Roundish 27 Jan 2015

On track... ...is a good result given the volatility of the market and given the focus on CTC, indicates that this is working. It is good to see the steady build up of revenues and the reference to 3 customers that are CTC KEY ACCOUNTS - which are defined as those providing £3m of income over the next 5 years. Hopefully more key accounts to come from the FIs they are currently engaged with.Good result.

New Contract for CTC with .... ...a sub of "....one of the largest financial institutions in the world".Nice RNS to finish the year off. Again sounds like very little if anything up front but given that they manage the back to front office of many other FI's it sounds like this could be a great contract as usage grows in 2015 and beyond.A happy and prosperous New Year to all the GHTers.

Contract extension On the face of it this sounds minor but I read this as very positive since:- a) CTC has been licensed per project hence each new project seems to attract additional feesb) the customer wouldn't be buying it again unless they were satisfied that it worked well on in the first two instances which in turn sends a very positive message to potential customers of Gresham, i.e. it works. There is no mention of numbers again but given this is an RNS, it indicates that this moves the needle commercially or financially or both (hopefully in more than just marketing terms) albeit the financial impact seems to be deferred into 2015.A good news day!
