Good run in share price I see Gooch have had another pretty good run in the markets recently now trading at over £18/share. Anyone who bought in at 60p or whatever the low was in 2009 would have done really really well. Not seen any news flow recently to justify this (a couple of small bolt on acquisitions over the summer) and the post close trading statement that apparently was scheduled for today hasn’t appeared. Any ideas anyone??
Re: G Agreed an excellent set of results and the diversification and forward integration looks to be going well. Last week's blip was probably a bit of profit taking by an institutional shareholder. I know Schroders have reduced their holding recently. Trading volumes are pretty thin with this one. An excellent day for followers of (Lord) John Lee's column in the FT with GHH and TET both reporting excellent finals.
G&H's profits rise in favourable conditions Makes the blip all the more inexplicable...
Pleased to see a satisfactory recovery Pleased to see a satisfactory recovery from the strange and unexplained sharp drop. Satisfactory and effortless on strong buying today which is nice to see...I hope the long term trend is unbroken.
Re: Drop Today Most likely due to the anticipated cuts in defence spending
