Analysis "In addition, although the share price of a company can often be a very poor indicator of the true value of that entity, it is pleasing for the shareholders that from the first to the last trading day in 2017, the share price of the Company moved from 53p to 116.5p, a rise of 120%, a trend which has continued unabated into 2018. "---------- ---------- ---------- ------In other words:Recently, the market has gone in the same direction as the company. There is no reason why this should have been the case. You have yourselves to thank (for buying the shares from each other) for the rise in the share price. But thank you all the same for happening to get it right on this occasion.---------- ---------- ---------- ------Conclusion (for a shareholder)ay attention to what the market does (this means you, folks). The company will be pleased on your behalf but can, and will, have absolutely nothing to do with whether you make any money or not.S.PS As to the "small shareholders" owning the company, that's rather like the ants saying they own the anthill. Maybe they do but it's the farmer who owns the field. As I didn't want to cause offence I thought it best not to mention the farmer's flea-bitten dog. Oops!

Re: House broker Nora , you are well informed and thank you for sharing. Decent volume today, probably a lot of profit taking but, as you said, all absorbed.

Nora Bone 10 Apr 2018

House broker House broker has been supporting the bid this afternoon i.e. absorbing a lot of sells that went through, means they have, or are confident of having, an institution(s) buy a big clip of shares. +v

Dilution or lack of it Investors in miners are used to regular fund raisings, usually through equity. There may be dissapointment at no dividend but this is a company generating real profits, with no debt.As I understand it the plant is ready or almost ready to take the increased throughput, if and when the second licence comes. For new investors the risks seem relatively low as it appears they can self finance expansion. I am sure that this won't be lost on institutional investors and I expect the share price to steadily rise as these very good figures are digested.

Re: Great results ......but As everybodyhas stated great results however still no reward (apart from SP increase over the past few months ) for us LTH I am afraid to say Jam TomorrowThe other thing that bothers is the fact that the BOD are loking for possible acquistions as one poster pointed out Spitire Oil !

Re: Great results ......but Numbers were great, but we and the market expected that - though on trailing P/E of 8 this should be flashing as undervalued everywhere now. Their broker is taking them on an investor roadshow for next 2 days - either they convince institutional investors to invest, thereby picking up slack from PI investors who've had a good run and are now jaded about dividends / jam tomorrow, so probably cashing in and holding back SP rise.Key frustration as already mentioned is lack of meat on the bones re; current trading, license, dividend plans - 2 keys lines:1) "will not venture an opinion when the new mining licence will be granted....... but rest assured that every possible effort is being made to complete this process as soon as possible."2)"In anticipation of funds needed for the development of the Zone II area at Caijiaying, the directors do not recommend the payment of a dividend at this time."Well I can only read into that they must be pretty confident on a license 'soon'? Otherwise give a small dividend or promise one to say to shareholders "here have this out of our ballooning cash pile while we continue to wait". mmh still stroking my chin on this one, want to realize some profit but then its still so cheap/undervalued...guess see if Institutional investors come in and buy over next week - they may get more colour from BOD on license and dividends than us simple PIs

Patience The absence of a dividend is obviously a bit of a damp squib for many, probably most importantly new major investors eg funds. They will take some time to consider the results and also take into account we are on AIM and operate in China. Had this been a FTSE company in the uk or America we would undoubtedly be looking at £1.75 based on a reasonable p/e of 10. Hopefully such investors will see the potential of where this might be in just 12months time in terms of BOTH share price and dividend. Remember when the demand starts to swell there are under 180 million shares available so the most simple laws of demand and supply will work very much in our favour. I have previously praised the BoD for their earlier share buy back scheme bringing us down from a peak of 220 million - most purchased in the 20- 35 range - which looks even more clever at this juncture. I am prepared to continue to be patient a little longer before selling part of my holding - after all the half year interims are due before the end of July so provided zinc holds up we will have even more good news. Finally don’t forget the ‘reason’ for no dividend - whether you agree or not - there will be further investment for hopefully even greater future returns. If you are not happy I guess the vast majority of us especially long termers, are now substantially in profit so have the option to sell and sail off into the sunset - or in the case of CD take the new GTC on a road trip back to puerto banus - sorry can’t resist a lol line at the end !!!!

Re: Great results ......but G5. Interims last year 20July for 6 months to 30 June.

Sageman 10 Apr 2018

Results i have now had chance to go through the figures. Totally excellent results but no dividend, no license and no trading statement. The price has thus not shot up as it should have done meaning that there is really good news ahead which will propel the SP higher. I was initially puzzled at how come we have $26m in the bank but we increased trade creditors by circa $26m since the mid year. On balance therefore I can see why the BOD wanted to pass on a dividend this time. I expect a trading statement in July, excellent mid year results and a nailed on dividend plus broker upgrade.

Re: Great results ......but Badgers, they have been saying the same thing for years but thank goodness haven’t managed to find a suitable acquisition. The PE ratio is an historic 8 which makes the shares still cheap on the assumption of the current year being appreciably better than last. I am going to have a mini rant. The BOD must be congratulated on the company’s performance but they continually forget that they don’t own the company. They may have decent holdings and options, but it is us, the small shareholders and institutions that are the majority of the shareholders. To dismiss the dividend with no other explanation than preserving funds for Zone 11 without stating what their longer term strategy might be is not exactly enlightening the shareholders. Even more frustrating, not one word about the current year. We will have to wait for the interim figures, 6 months from now?, to find out how OUR company is doing and that will be 9 months into the trading year. To keep us in the dark for such a long period shows an almost complete disregard for the majority. I do not wish for frequent updates but twice a year is not enough. Rant over!

Re: Great results ......but Yes to all of that. BUT I didn't like the reference to looking further afield and possibly spending the cash on an acquisition. Spitfire Oil springs to mind.

Re: Great results ......but Read back over my various posts since pre Xmas. I have continually suggested/warned there would not be a dividend (or only a very small one) at this stage of the proceedings. I agree it is very disappointing but think we have to accept and now look to the future in terms of both further organic growth from which a healthy dividend will ultimately flow. It will be very interesting to see how the market reacts both this morning and in the next week or so. Remember the interims will be published in July so IF commodity prices remain stable and IF the recent investment means even higher production then share price will rise again. The biggest prize now is that blessed licence !!!!!!!!

Re: Great results ......but True but....."In anticipation of funds needed for the development of the Zone II area at Caijiaying, the directors do not recommend the payment of a dividend at this time."So if they are building up a cash pile in order to pay for the development of Zone II rather than having to borrow that suggests they (still) believe Zone II license is obtainable and relatively soon. Seems quite sensible to me. EPS of 24.63c (say 17.5p) is probably what we all secretly hoped for and above cautious predictions. We might see the share price rise to 160-175p on the back of this which I would be more than happy with. As Gaile5 says, nothing from them about current trading but that is nothing new. But these figures bode very well for 2018 if zinc prices remain at over $3250 (or indeed go higher). With no debt to service it could result in earnings of well over 30c per share and a share price starting with a 2......A ray of sunshine in an otherwise fairly bleak market!Guitarsolo - picks up the plectrum for some upbeat tunes

Re: Great results ......but Stellar results - no dividend despite the cash pile but the sp has performed , no license but appears nearer and when it arrives you would expect the next broker note to be £3+.

Gailes5 10 Apr 2018

Re: Great results ......but Great figures, eps 17.5 p, but no dividend and no promise of one, and, as usual, nothing disclosed of current trading, over 3 months in.
