Panmure's note on Gemfields is up on Research Tree: "Gemfields today announced the results of its lower quality auction held in Jaipur last week that confirmed another auction record, in average $/ct values. Overall revenues were in line but the company is noting that, along with the diamond industry, buyers are not willing to pay a premium for goods as to where significant uncertainty remains on the quality of finished goods. We remain..."
Very Undervalued When the market realises how undervalued this stock really is and should they win Mothae, which I believe they will, expect fireworks to go off! There will be a rerate.
Re: sliced Might not have to be long term, if they get Mothae (news in the next month or so imo), then this should easily spike above 200, might even rerate to 200, should be at 200 now already, the P/E ratio is extremely low compared to peers...Let's not forget diamond prices are rising again and Mothae is located just next to Letsend, this would be great timing!
Re: sliced Good idea to slice; however I think there is still value to be had. I picked some up at just over 1.36 looking for a strong break out to 2.00 as a longer term hold...
sliced @ 130. Early again went 137 soon after.
Re: Worth buying for results? Oh, another chance for me perhaps?
Re: Worth buying for results? sitting on supp 140..however wont buy..think will breakdown to £1...<<<yes CB..machine neverwrong(just a matter of When)....nice bounce...
Re: Worth buying for results? LG - that breakdown to £1 you mentioned, doubt you thought it would be almost 1 yr later, but as of today, it has hit your thought. Now I might buy a few Monday. don't think entry sub £1 is too bad.
Re: New target 332 I'm in too
Re: New target 332 Hi LG, hope u're wellu have any specific target here ? cheersB
Re: New target 332 back in ...shudd bounce from here..
Re: trading update Profitability will largely depend on the very large gem quality diamond finds this year, as prices for the largest stones are holding much better than price of small stones for the volume markets.I am sure there will be enough profit for mining to continue, especially now that De Beers is reducing its output for a while at least.
trading update With a projected £300 less per carat on average for 2015, and annual production of some 119000 Crt, I get $35.7 million less for 2015 fiscal year.Last year net profit was $33.2 million.........does this means that for 2015 GEMD won't make any profit, or even a loss, considering the extra costs incurred for Ghaghoo mine development?
