Placing of new shares. Wow, that was quick. Intention to place announced one day and all done and dusted the next - and oversubscribed too. Furthermore the sp has risen this morning in response, so it seems that recent discussion as to whether it was 'high enough' was a little premature. There seems to be plenty of confidence that this company has good future growth ahead of it.
Re: High enough? Again, perhaps not if institutions are happy to subscribe 690p to take up the shares proposed to be offered in a forthcoming placing - which seems to be the case - and the company uses the proceeds to pursue further expansion rather more rapidly than would otherwise have occurred.
Re: High enough? I would suggest that on today's p/e of over 60 it's probably high enough but with commentators such as Edmond Jackson and Paul Scott enamoured with the shares it may well go higher. For myself, I prefer another music company, Focusrite, which has a lower profile than Gear4music and much lower p/e and, in my opinion, a more sustainable competitive advantage.
Re: High enough? Perhaps not. Just nudging an all time high. Blue sky above if it has another good day or two.
Re: High enough? If he had held them until today and sold them at 6.70, he would have made around 107k instead of around 65k, which works out at about £219 per day since the day he sold them.So evidently a director sale does not necessarily mean that everyone else should throw in the towel and run for the exit...Love Music
