extension for a year,,all good buy
Production going well Range moved up from 12k to 15k for 2017 to 13k to 15k after what looks like a strong start to 2017.Current production in March running at over 16k!£98m in cash and zero debt. What a breath of fresh air Faroe is.HUB
Bone dry Not too much of a surprise there. Faroe's interest was minor and whilst this would have been a big play had it come in, I don't think the market was pricing very much in.With market cap of £320m, and £100m in cash, Faroe are priced at £220m based on 14kboped and zero debt.On a comparable basis to ithaca which went for a billion (inc 590m in debt), Faroe looks about £400m or £1 off fair value. No wonder Delek were buying in at 89p.Whilst today's news is not the result investors wanted, it is the end of any doubts and this drill has now passed and all the risk with it goes.I wouldn't be surprised to see the sp rise today as many would have been sidelined awaiting this news and inevitable drop, albeit short lived.Back to 110p+ .... soon?Roll on June/July - looks an exciting period ahead.Faroe are due to release results next tuesday along with Enquest. So hopefully some good news to come out of the northsea playersHUB
Re: Proposed Acquisition/Placement RNS @ 7am on drill...... not good.Price as dropped since high start of month ( two weeks ) by approx 17% .Some must know information beforehand ?
Norway tax incentives Not great news but looks inline with previous years although some were hoping for some more help from gov.Exploration tax credit deal remains and is still one of best in the world.[link]
Re: Tyra seems to be saved Certainly is good news olechr. Trym produced 3.8 million barrels of oil equivalents in 2016, 50% to Faroe, which was over 5,000 boepd (my calculations from NPD figures, dyor) out of Faroe's 17,400 boepd. Losing that production would be a big dent this year with Tambar, Oselvar Njord, Hyme and Brage all looking at various reductions, or nil output.Never much doubt in my mind that Maersk and DONG would work something out. and I think it was probably good for Faroe to get their business done with DONG last year. (Trym produced over half of the DONG production that has made the deal look good.)
Tyra seems to be saved Mærsk seems to have reached a deal with the Danish state regarding tax and thereby saving the Tyra field from being closed according to AVIS. Good news for Faroe and the of the field bought by DONG, that is tied to Tyra
Re: Director buys Yes, nice to see director buys but unfortunately in this case you can see it's a directors bogof deal. Or is that buy one get 2 free?I have no problem with share incentive schemes and bonuses but ONLY in a bullish commodity cycle and based on profits rather than share price performance. If bonuses were awarded on profits only, then it would cancel out almost every bonus scheme in the entire AIM market which is not a bad thing! If FPM continue as they are then a main listing might be in order which would open the stock up to a wider more risk adverse investor base.Main market may well see some added algo's and bots covering FPM so it's a mixed bag of benefits. It tends to work in favour of the share price when in a bull phase rather than a bearish one.HUB
Director buys All seem confident by investing into Faroe, and they have all the information at the fingertips, so happy to watch and wait.

Re: Get a move on Looks like I was right about about Delek wanting to double their money. Their 120p offer for IAE today just shows that they are not hanging around.Watch out Faroe... you better make sure your large shareholders are on board as Delek have plenty of firepower and look like the mean business.Clearly the dollar/sterling benefits come into play with north sea acquisitions at present and stable environments look key for many investment companies. If US pursue Iran with heavier sanctions, the PoO could soar in the future as 2mboepd could get wiped off the market in a second. That of course would work in favour of Trump and his Keystone pipeline plans as US shale would have some slack to play with without adding to gluts by taking Iranian market share.Interesting timesHUB
Get a move on This should trading at 120p minimum against IAE's 110p level.Dazzler interest is minor and whilst any success with the drill bit will be welcome, it is actually the Brasse appraisal that is the real value catalyst.DONG assets outperforming. Cash balance strong, all going well.Market may be hesitant on production numbers for 2017 as Faroe have yet to update on this estimate.I don't think DELEK bought in at 90p for a minor 12% gain. I think they have a valuation view of at least doubling their money here. Bit like what they have achieved with IAE to date.Come on - get a move on and lets see 112p tested.HUB
Re: North Sea M&A Volume is very high today and looks likely to be the highest this share has had for about 6 months. The technicals look decent so could be in for a bit of a rise this week as long as it can get past 108p
Eire O & G concession 2016 FPM are there but a small player cf some others[link]
North Sea M&A Shell expected to kick off the M&A for 2017 with a number of asset sales in North Sea licence blocks. In situations like these, it tends to roll into a snow ball effect so lower to mid tier players may come into play too as buyers slide the rule over 'value' deals.Faroe looking like its ready for the next leg up and long time coming. On a comparable basis to Ithaca, it should be nearer 120p than 100p.Would be useful to know the 2017 production forecast as some of the DONG assets were not expected to perform as well as they have done. 16kboepd ave for 2017 would be good news. Any higher and it really would be a surprise.HUB
