Re: Eirik Raude If deja is correct, we are a minimum of 14 days away from first target.Isobel deep target intersection 2750m, so i'd guestimate TD is about 2850m.
Re: Eirik Raude thanks. does anyone know the target depth of Isobel-2 and whether they may have drilled to target depth already?
Eirik Raude Hope you all had a good Christmas. I just posted this over on the RKH board in reply to goldieshotz asking about drill downtime. Hi goldie, sorry for delay in reply but this xmas thingy got in the way lol. It's very difficult to be precise, and they don't like being tracked - that's pretty clear since they went offline on the 20th. I think that is a result of position movements being brought up at the AGM - re Fiona's reply. But in spite of that I can still see their position relative to the wellhead, and they're still on the original spot at this time. Today is day 37 since spudding on the 21st Nov. My best calculation/guestimate (looking at the unusual movements and other data) is they could have had as much as 17 days off the wellhead. You're welcome to correct me Fiona if you disagree lol.D.
Re: Merger Thanks for all this guys/girls, really cleared it up for me!
Re: Merger Just a couple of points:I assume you don't hold a share certificate and the shares are held in a nominee account by your broker. If you do hold a FOGL share certificate, you'll eventually be sent a new RKH certificate for 0.2993 of your FOGL shares. If your shares are held in a nominee account, once the deal has gone through, your FOGL balance will go to zero and there'll be a new holding of RKH in your portfolio. Make sure they've done the arithmetic right - don't assume they have, as ultimately it'll be down to the person who wrote their computer program! As a shareholder, you do have voting rights and in my opinion, if this deal doesn't go through, FOGL and its shares will be worthless. However, "merged" with RKH, they stand a reasonable chance, so every vote could count. If you have a nominee holding, you'll probably have to contact / register with your broker to be sent stuff for voting, attending meetings, etc.If it's like TD Direct Invest, they have a new system and didn't send me my stuff to attend the GM, or vote, which is very annoying, so make sure your broker doesn't make the same mistake. Finally, it's most unlikely that the number of FOGL shares you hold will end up being an exact number of RKH shares after being multiplied by 0.2993. In the "good" old days, you might have expected to receive a cheque for any cash value difference, but these days (and because these shares are worth so little), any cash difference will probably be "lost".Good luck!
Merger Yes ... correct. After FOGL'S last day of trading on the 15th January. your shares will be converted into Rockhopper shares at the rate of 0.2993 RKH shares for each FOGL share you hold. All this will be done automatically so nothing for you to do but sit back and wait to become a shareholder in the new entity.Literally the next day, you will see your FOGL holding has disappeared and been replaced by shares in Rockhopper.
Re: Merger Trappist,My understanding is that if you keep hold of your holding and the All Share Merger goes ahead, you will receive .2993 Rockhopper shares for each FOGL share you own. Nothing more complex than that.RegardsMonk
Merger Hello FOGLers,Pardon my naivety. I have been floating on some FOGL shares for some time now through iWeb. I got in at just above the proposed Scheme Price of 9.6p. I have never been a share holder in a merging company before.I am quite new to all this and i'm not really sure what I should be doing before FOGL ceases to exist come the 19th of Jan. If i were to not do anything, would I basically receive the equivalent of whatever FOGL is worth come the 19th, plus the Scheme Price of 9.6p? Or do my holdings from then on become merged RKH holdings? What is the best way of managing ones holdings in a run up to a merger? I understand that people aren't under any condition to tell others what to do with their shares, but I feel a bit out of my depth! P.S I have nothing in RKH. Cheers
Re: Competency I think we've all experienced assertive bluffers (I call them "know-it-alls", who somehow manage to convince the decision makers (many of whom don't know as much as they'd like others to believe) to do something that later proves to have been a mistake. No doubt we're reaping a very expensive harvest here from at least some people like that. I think some VERY probing questions need to be asked at the next AGM and this BB should enable shareholders (who will soon become RKH shareholders) to work out what those questions should be. I've been astonished, especially on the RKH board by how apathetic some people have turned out to be................................Ovets, did you go to the RKH GM?Do you intend to go to the FOGL GM?

Competency Just to try to put this one to bed and with respect to the ER (and of course all IMO):1. There can be many tests for competency.2. Generally they will fall into 3 categories but based on timing can bea. Beforeb. duringc. afterBeforerecursory investigations into things such as previous experience on similar projects, and performance outcomes including results, timings, breakdown rates, equipment performance, staff performance, problem solving and a host of other relevant criteria.During:Adherence to performance expectations, staffing performance, problem solving, timelines outcomes etc. After:Outrun costs, performance, suitability in hindsight, staff performance, lessons learnt reporting etc.every stretch of my imagination, the one pure test of competency I encourage when training others is that you are only truly competent when you know you are not.If you think this through correctly, someone in charge of lets say a drilling operation can safely drill to a point when they think they should stop drilling. To carry on beyond this point puts the person in charge beyond the point where they should carry on and therefore into a scenario where they become incompetent if they continue but entirely competent if they stop drilling.Self fulfilling on the competency test.Ergo, (apologies I know it is a touch long-winded), my thoughts on the competency of the ER from the RNS provided information and seeming performance is that somewhere along the way the decisions made regarding 'fit for purpose' seem to have been made by incompetent persons IN MY OPINION.If there is other information I am not aware of, then I could be entirely wrong and I will hold my hand up.SLW
Re: rkh to fogl Suresh ... its all about the risk / reward ratio. So far as I am concerned, Izzie is in the bag. Just a 3p rise and you end up with 40% fewer shares for your money. Now is the time if you want to make the big money .. not post results and merger when we could be a lot higher.Time will tell
Re: rkh to fogl 1. If the results are good, isn't that what everyone else will be doing?2. You won't be able to buy FOGL by then, as trading stops on 15/1/16
Re: rkh to fogl why topup now? its personal choice but its better to wait for isobel result
Re: rkh to fogl It certainly has but I like buying at bargain basement prices like these. Normally there is a reason but on this occasion the market is being indescriminate.Success at Izzy and an oil price recover and the new entity will be perfectly situated for the next oil price cycle.
