Re: Chins up Boys and Girls 6p implies 18p for RKH. Market cap. at 460 million shares = £83 million which is about Rockhopper's cash holdings.Who would have thought a year ago we would be at these prices! If oil does bounce then they are looking good.

Re: Chins up Boys and Girls it certainly looks to be in free fall.. i have not seen this type of behavior since the crash of 2009, where the bottom was just an arbitrary number. Why not 5p why not 6p... I htink 5p sounds better than 6p.. or perhaps 4.5p? Its getting a bit like that. Is 5p a better sounding number than 6p? Why not make your investment decision based on that.who would have thought thata) humpback (the sideshow from the main event at Isobel) would bankrupt the company from a shoddy rig and the lack of a fluid sample.(b) a finite resource with at most 5 years of sustainable supply left before it crashes all of us could get so low in price due to a 1000 year old sunni/shia conflict... hey lets burn all this precious resource up for chump change because a group is divided just who has the divine right of ascendance (was it this cousin or that cousin?) to someone who was tripping out and hearing voices in his head thinking it was some sentient being/god talking to him.

Chins up Boys and Girls This is simply about the price of oil. If you believe that oil will stay at this level then get out while you still can.If you believe oil will recover in the next 18 months its buy buy buy time or rather will be in a few days when it hits 5p or less.No doubt Borgo will be along soon to tell us that the sun is coming complete with some cryptic clues about Izzie so lots of fun and games to hang around for! lol

Re: Utter Disaster I have ticked up the last 2 posts because I feel both are right in part. The Saudis are not that bothered who they shaft, be it the US, Russia or even fellow OPEC members, their sole intention is to ensure that they are the main producer standing. They are playing poker with oil and if no one calls their bluff and it is a bluff as they can't continue loosing oil revenue at the current rate, they will win.Be assured that they are suffering far more than they let on and they may break themselves before they break the other world oil powers.

Re: Utter Disaster You sure about that? What is certain is that the Saudis, rather than OPEC as a whole, are driving the oil price down to punitive, and perilous, lows for geopolitical purposes, without a peep in protest from the US government, Obama, et al.Rather curious if it's America they're aiming to shaft, wouldn't you say..?

Re: Utter Disaster read a report today looking into the oil industry in America and its figures. Seems the EIA has overestimated eagle ford and the shale in north Dakota by a large margin based on the research however that being said, the output from these two areas alone contributes to 70% of the entirety of the shale oil in America and the wells they have online and in planning for drilling despite the low oil price mean that these low oil prices will be around until at least 2019 before shale oil in these two fields begins to taper off significantly at a rate of 30% per annum. Meaning USA's shale oil is going to be around for at least a while yet even if oil prices stay this low.The reports a good one, i'll post a link tomorrow if I can find it again, was about 300 odd pages long. The general consensus I got from it was this, American big shale is going to be around for a while, American small shale is going to be gone tomorrow and wont ever come back. Saudi will win but in doing so ruin their own country by reducing the money it will have available to fund investment in the future, meaning they have to join the international money markets and America wins.

APC stock very very tight and undervalued at the Emex in London for the last 2 days.BIG TALK. A look into the future 14th NOV no less [link] To frack or not to frack: investing either way Hot tips if UK shale gas exploitation powers ahead... and if it doesn’t Robin Andrews 14 November 2015 APC Technology Group (7.25p) declare themselves to be a ‘provider of technologies developed to reduce energy consumption’: their time could be now. The group is profitable, although recent acquisitions have not worked well and will impact full-year results. But this seems to be recognised by the market, which only two years ago valued the shares at 65p. Following the appointment of a new managing director this looks like a recovery situation. And in such a confused energy landscape, we all need one of those....

Any suggestions? I know my "Ice Flow Theory" can figure out the reason for the illogic of deeper water moving southeast from the Falkland Islands toward that massive underwater mountain, the northern wall of the east ward moving part of the Scotia Sea Structure. Excellent question. And I will think about it. If any of you rich oil companies want to pay me for my knowledge , read "The Origin Of Mountains" free at Indepent.academia.edu. Ref: John Delano. I leaned quite a lot from you people on this bulk ten board. I think Gclark may be my age 78, and Borgo a retired English professor, very intelligent. Good by, and I am moving my remaining 10 grand to rockhopper exploration. The southern basin is Dead for crude oil, and I and you missed it.
