According to their website press release at the start of Feb they had $100mn in cash & no debt. The Eirik Raude costs about $250-300k/day, so I'd say that FOGL are pretty cash rich for this venture
Can someone clarify if FOGL will need to issue extra shares to fund the current 6 drill slots?. I thought we were fully funded?
"... hosting a joint presentation today for sell-side analysts." I'm guessing that presentation will be made during US trading, so maybe late afternoon UK time we'll see what its initial impact is??
"...Sam Moody, CEO of Rockhopper and Tim Bushell, CEO of FOGL, will be hosting a joint presentation today for sell-side analysts.." I wonder who these analysts are representing - hopefully someone big and aggressive with lots of cash!
"...the oil and gas exploration company focused on its extensive license areas to the North, South and East of the Falklands islands, are pleased to announce that the drilling unit Eirik Raude has arrived in the North Falkland Basin (NFB) and will shortly be moving to location to commence the first well, on the Zebedee prospect, of the six well drilling campaign that will see two wells drilled in the NFB then one to the south of the islands, followed by two more in the north and a final slot in the south" [link]
Bit of a newbie to this (what seems like) speculation game, as well as blogging on stocks, but anyway I've entered the fray with a small pot of cash. Just wondering, do people often write garbage on here in order to get others to buy/sell, or everyone pretty honest? Can't understand Jefferies target of 29p. Surely it's a bit of a make or break scenario - no oil = share price pretty much collapses, lots of oil = sky's the limit - are they talking about 29p for the medium term based on finding nothing? Any help appreciated. C
Re: Afternoon Campers. Ha! I always suspected you was a fraud PottyTime: any genuine poster would know it was The Sullivans BEFORE Magpie - week days that was....But at last, I can dream this weekend that my mad, mad gamble in FOGL might have a less nightmare'ess ending this summer GLTO.
Good to see the oil price holding nicely too - all we need now is OPEC to turn off the taps and up we go
