On the upside Beetaloo could be significantly larger than 6.6Tcf (Origin gave 496Tcf) On the downside NT gov could block development, party over !

Whats It Worth? If NT authorities give the go ahead for Beetaloo....Falcon own 30% of 6.6 TCF gas field.Bidding war ahead??All just IMO.

Re: Land Grab.... [link] out the news tab on SXX she bought in to the tune of +200 million and 50 million more for the product when it is mined.News is from Oct 2016, part of her master plan??RegardsWR

Land Grab.... I notice Billionaire Miner Gina Rinehart is buying up cattle stations in the Beetaloo region, diversifying into farming cattle, maybe not ! She's also hired Adam Giles, earlier this year, he's the former Chief Minister of NT...Just can't work out why she'd want the land ????

Someone burp the baby "Temporary moratorium'' being the elephant in the room.New coal seam gas proposals in Australia bode well for shale - broker 08:46 20 Mar 2017 London-listed Falcon Oil & Gas is sitting on a potentially huge shale gas resources, but, progress is presently held up by a temporary moratorium on shale gas projects. gas and oil operations, onshore workers Falcon was recently boosted by well successes and big gas estimates A new proposal in Australia to lift bans on coal seam gas operations bodes well for AIM quoted Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd (LON:FOG), so says stockbroker WH Ireland.Australia’s deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce is supporting proposals that would see the ban on goal seam gas drilling lifted, so long as landowners are given more of the royalties from subsequent gas production.“In our opinion, this is a significant policy shift as the country seeks to avoid a looming gas shortage,” WH Ireland analyst Brendan Long said in a note.“It is important to appreciate that the deputy PM is also agricultural minister and we therefore believe his thinking reflects that of Australia’s rural landowning community – the people who count.“The general idea is to ensure that landholders benefit directly from gas production, which is an incentive that has proven very effective in the USA.”Long added: “We believe this could pave the way for comparatively positive developments for shale gas developer in Australia, such as Falcon Oil & Gas.”Falcon, alongside partners Origin Energy and SASOL, is sitting on potentially huge shale gas resources in Australia’s Northern Territory - though operationally progress is paused by a temporary moratorium on shale gas, whilst the authorities conduct a new evaluation of the emerging industry and its practices. In February, citing figures produced by Origin Energy, the operator of the 16,000-square kilometres of venture, Falcon said the gross best estimate of gas in place was a world-class 496 trillion cubic feet (TCF). That converts to a massive 82bn barrels of oil potential. The moratorium on hydraulic fracturing – the necessary process to complete shale gas wells – was introduced by the NT Government on 14 September 2016 and subsequently an independent panel has been established to conduct an independent inquiry and report back to the government. The panel is looking at all the issues such as the potential impact on the environment but also the potential economic impact.

Re: GREAT PROSPECTS! Beetaloo recently confirmed as potentially one of the biggest shale gas discoveries ion the world. The problem is of course there is a moratorium on fracking in the Northern Territories. As I under stand it the minister responsible is looking again at this later this year. This discovery does have an impact on the whole of Australia, jobs, and the national tax take. If the moratorium is lifted the share price is likely to rise very substantially ( it is the boards stated intention to sell to a larger company to develop the site). If moratorium not lifted this share price seems likely to drift back to where it came from (depending of course what happens in South Africa where the company has another prospective area they are drilling.)

Re: GREAT PROSPECTS! 16p? Blimey – it’s off like a rocketI’d given up hope on this one, bought in at 7p only to see it dragging along at 4p or 5p then suddenly WHAM! Wonder if the price is a genuine rerating or just driven by hype. I guess I’ll wait and see, too small to release much of a profit, too small to suffer much of a loss compared to other holdings – it’s more one of those ”this looks interesting share” so let’s buy a few…

GREAT PROSPECTS! Like the potential of this one!!
