Re: Cyber security market They say they have just seen a massive increase in business and have had to take on a lot of new staff and they sound confident about sales continuing to grow.[link] see what difference Hollis can make. He appears to be well connected so he ought to be able to open doors for FLX.

Re: Cyber security market There is no confidence at the moment in this company delivering the goods. When was the last time they got a chunky contract win?

Cyber security market More news to suggest more spending on cyber security will be driven by regulation.[link]

Software Defined WAN -SD-WAN? After reading this "Acquisition of Cloudified Ltd"[link] Group Limited (AIM: FLX) a cyber defence and intelligence provider working with blue chip, SME and government clients worldwide, is pleased to announce it has acquired the entire issued share capital of Cloudified Limited ("Cloudified" for a total consideration of approximately £180,000 ("Acquisition".AcquisitionCloudified a profitable Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) vendor specialising in building cost effective Wide Area Network solutions. ..." I wondered what an SD WAN was ."SD-WAN: What is it and why you’ll use it one day ... Gartner estimates that SD-WAN has less than 5% market share today, but it predicts that up to 25% of users will manage their WAN through software within two years. Revenue from SD-WAN vendors is growing at 59% annually, Gartner estimates, and it’s expected to become a $1.3 billion market by 2020. ..."[link] wonder if that $1.3 billion is worldwide or just in the US?

Re: Rns You think so?

IAmShareCrazy 18 Jul 2017

Rns What this company needs is some meaty contract wins because at the moment a 100k contract is peanuts.

Re: Cyber Security -Its a buy ! I think you are right about sector sentiment. I bought some Sophos on Thursday which has produced a pretty rapid return! My problem is that Falanx's market cap of £10m on T/O of £1.8m on a company that has never made a profit seems stretched to me. That's not to say that there isn't scope for expansion, and i do know of another consulting company that is adopting a similar model. I'm just not confident based on what I can see on the company's web site. Like I say, it's a competitive market and there are a number of established companies who are busy making hay with better sales / marketing engines.

Re: Cyber Security -Its a buy ! It sounds like this could rally strongly on the back of sector sentiment and greater awareness of cyber threats. Could be a case of right place right time...Hopefully management can back up with some news on contract wins or profitable current trading.

Re: Cyber Security -Its a buy ! Check accreditation is a definite plus, but it's a bit more complex than that. They are up against some very well established companies (Capita, NCC). Like I say, I am watching with interest at the moment.

Cyber Security -Its a buy ! Falanx and the Cyber security they provide are exactly the company that will gain from the the recent cyber attacks as all companies in this game will be in strong demand. Falanx have the govt accreditation and all the kit to do the business.Seems to me a no brainer.

Hmmmm! Just passing through here. I have no position here but thought I would have a look since I work in the IT Security industry. The following is all IMHO.There is a convergence between the worlds of physical and IT security and business risk but it's not here just yet. I have a reservation about such a fledgling company trying to cover both IT Security and business / geopolitical risk consultancy. If you are going to be a cybersecurity company, then I would suggest that you dedicate all of your efforts to it.There is a large market in cybersecurity but it's damned difficult to break into. I work for one of the largest integrators that has been going for 20 years and I can assure you that it's a fairly cut-throat business these days. It's true that there is a market for managed security services for SME's, but I would want to know where they are pitching the price. SME's do understand managed security but they typically don't want to pay a lot for it. They are also increasingly likely to take security services from their existing IT Service provider who may not have Falanx's expertise but it may well be seen as good enough. At the other end of the scale I can however see a potential issue. The Midgard appliance is a worry for me. If you are pitching to the big boys the question you will get asked is "Which SIEM are you using?" . The answer Splunk, IBM, McAfee, HP, or Fortinet would be fine but "We have built our own." may not put you in a good position. I will watch with interest to see if they manage to grow their managed security services business successfully, but for the moment I'm keeping my powder dry.ATBSTB

Buying back in from 5.5p onwards Not advising anyone else to do the same. Buy i'm waiting for a 10 - 20% drop from so i can average down. Hopefully they've turned a corner and have a product that can have automation. I would hate to think it's manually managed. That so 1980's
