Re: Cash It can be no later than the 14th June so anytime now up to that date.
Cash WHEN?? do we get the money??
Re: Back in Sold to fund ISA.. limit @ offer price limited £ 610.76
Re: Back in I forgot there was a 610p recommended offer in from Michelin the french tyre maker .
Re: Melrose I'd guess not. Fenner seems to be a very well run & disciplined company. They did a lot of tightening of belts and slimming down when the mining sector was on the ropes a few years ago; so I don't think there is much value for Melrose to add in their process.
Melrose If GKN falls down for Melrose would they look at Fenner? They are not shy at making hostile takeover bids. I know that Fenner are much smaller and I admit I am whistling in the wind as I think a counter offer chance is slim but not impossible so worth holding on for now.
Re: Back in Bought these 4 june 2013 ( W ).. just having a look at posts around time appears i was not posting but see LK Hyman ( hope hes ok ) and Hardboy.Saw 26% rise but no news anywhere now see RNS was after last night close.( Bet that caught a few )Read a post from DD77 on Lse .. 11th of January this year " its phenomenal gone from being my worst performing share to my best in such a short space of time".Something to learn there ?It pulled back from that high 503p ( not sure i noticed it ) to 483p following months , think i might of noticed the drop but didnt act. Thanks for the comments about why shes above the 610p offer @ 615p having been a little higher earlier today.
Bca marketplace share look cheap Great dividend company do well valued at over £2 by brokers
Re: Do I sell ? Agree with Our Haven. The AGM is just over a month away. The offer allows for shareholders to receive a dividend, but limits it to 2.1p. so presumably that is what it'll be. If it follows similar timescales you will have to hold till late July to get this: 5 months away. Then there are dealing costs. As it is currently trading at a premium to the offer price including the dividend, then selling now would only lose you the dealing costs. 2.1p (and it could be less) is 0.34% of the offer price, so personally I would not wait 5 months for an extra 0.34%. However I'm going to hang around awhile longer just in case there is a hint at another potential buyer coming along, or any of the institutional holders wanting more.
Re: Do I sell ? Our HavenThanks for the info, have a good day...
Re: Do I sell ? Thecool Depends if you want the dividend payment or not. Looks like very little risk of the deal not going through. Price a little higher than the deal price but it is not fully reflecting the dividend which is just a slight cost of having your monies now.
Do I sell ? Held Fenner for some years now, do I sell at this point as not sure...
Re: Someone knew Got to be a great deal for all of us long term holders. Clearly someone did know before the close yesterday but that is normally the case. Still we are all beneficiaries of the deal here and now will start to look for a replacement.
Opening Price Opened at a premium, 616p, quite a few trades, so some thought of a counterbid.
Re: Someone knew HiCongratulations to all holders, that is a fantastic price and a bit of a surprise. The price offered is 13.5x peak (£118.8m) operating profits , can't see the Directors rejecting that. Enjoy
