Positive mention in the FT Nice:[link] Citigroup started coverage of Frontier Developments, the video game developer, with a “buy” rating and £15.40 price target. Consensus forecasts have “significantly understated the revenue contribution” from Jurassic World Evolution ahead of its release in mid-June, said Citi. Re: Why the 6%+ drop in SP today The price seems to often move a lot on little volume. 99% sure that there isn't any particular news to trigger today's fall.2 months until the release of JWE, then things should get exciting IMHO.

Liberum raise price target Results today perfectly fine and as expected. If the markets hadn't been the way they are then the price would probably have been unmoved or perhaps up.Finncap today retain their 1700p target, and Liberum say Buy and increase their price target to 1480p (from 1250p):[link]

Excellent new article about FDEV In particular, there's an intriguing quote from the CEO. So now we know we can expect news of the fourth franchise with the JWE launch - and that this will also be well-known and likely pretty exciting:"Braben himself.....also talks of beyond the impending release and says that in conjunction with that, Frontier will also be announcing the title of its fourth franchise.Although giving nothing away on what this may actually be, he does confirm that it will be something that once more strikes a familiar chord with the audience."[link]

Finncap raise target price to 1700p Finncap have today increased their price target to 1700p (from 1332p) - a hefty increase:[link] agree with the prior post - the overriding point is that JWE is progressing smoothly and on time. It's reassuring that PC and ED continue to sell well, but no-one should really have been expecting anything else from the update. It'll be good to hear first details of the other games in the pipeline at some stage, perhaps in he next results narrative.

Re: correction in sp Figures in today's statement look completely fine.Drop in share price is probably from people selling who were expecting something amazing. However that was never likely to happen at this point when there have been no new launches for a while. In 6 months or so Jurassic World Evolution is expected to be launched at which point things will get very interesting, in a positive way I expect.

While global box office revenues netted the film industry £30 billion, video games did better, and raked in more than £50 billion. Frontier Developments is one of the UK’s leaders in this field, producing hits that may not be household names for many but bring in millions. The Cambridge-based company has also just signed a potentially lucrative deal with Universal Pictures to produce a Jurassic Park strategy game. The arrangement includes the possibility it could lead to further tie-ups that could boost growth. Frontier is currently worth about £508 million but its shares have risen 370 per cent in the past year, and were 1324.5p yesterday."
