Re: Ooops - triggered I very rarely set stop losses any more. Been stopped out too often when I should not have been. Usually the big losses in share price are in response to news releases, which are invariably released at 70, so share prices close at one price and open a lot lower. A Stop losses don't save you then. I do admit I was up at the crack of sparrow cough on June 24th, setting stop losses galore; but that was a one off.

Ooops - triggered This afternoon something triggered my stop loss when I was in for the long run. How on earth did that happen, sp generally trading by a clear margin above my trigger point and then a sudden temporary dip.Still, well done EZJ for a tremendous return since January around 35% including the dividend, so I must not grumble too loudly.Another trading lesson for me, though, about hanging on to a winning stock longer. In the case of EZJ the p/e and yield are still attractive ... would have been a hold for some way yet ... but dare I go for a re-buy now? There were some huge sells this afternoon. One to chew over.

Re: Traffic Up Stock Up HSBC seem to think there is much more to come with an upgrade today to 1450p.That is cautiously stating the obvious outcome of recently reported traffic data and strong cost control, with little risk from oil prices. Disappointing if that is the best analysis of Andrew Lobbenberg or one of his team. Maybe he is coxing another dysfunctional boat. Or drifting into retirement in the wake of Tax Me Not Gulliver.Personally I am on board and strapped into the oars all the way back to 1600p.

Traffic Up Stock Up Well this is rather cheerful progress from a company in a good place right now, a strong recovery from last year's uncontrollable market factors. You can hardly hear the roar of Stelios for the roar of jets overhead here in Vapourtrailshire.Still good value?Where next?

Re: well run company And currently a huge cost cutting program being undertaken...............ultimately will directly affect the 'bottom line' positively

well run company share price going up more than i could have hoped, low price long term fuel forcast must be helping profits.

Re: Load factor I am sure weak pound does not help buy cheap fuel but will attract tourists en masse. However, pound keeps strengthening despite bbc and Guardians efforts to torpedo brexit, our economy, negotiations and tories. More power to uk and less to Brussels!

Re: Load factor Low fuel prices must be helping enormously on profitability.. Could be a very good year!

Hardboy 05 May 2017

Re: Load factor Obviously the maximum possible is 100% (unless they can offload passengers to other carriers in which case I suppose technically it could be greater than 100%.) However with the practicalities of dealing with something as unreliable as people I guess the realistic maximum is somewhat less. I've been tracking load factor for over 5 years. The best monthly figure in that time was 95.8% last July. The previous best April figure was 90.8%. I guess this year's figures may have been helped by having the May Day bank holiday weekend effectively in April. Each year the load factors have run above the previous year's except 2016, which ran just behind 2015 (but they had increased capacity, and the monthly average was 91.2 v 91.3, so hardly a large fall.) This year each month has been better than 2015 & 2016 so far. Let's just hope the profit per seat is not suffering.

Load factor Load factor up again to 92% - does anyone know if they are at maximum now as this seems to be as much as could be expected ? On Bristol - Copenhagen last week - packed - again some hand luggage had to go in hold. On way back must have been majority Danish. Such an efficient well run company but if EU nationals either for work or pleasure put off coming to UK by little Englander attitude profitability of more fringe routes such as described by previous poster and expansion would be at risk. Also only about 10% of passengers Premium EasyJet + obviously not seen as sufficient value for more passengers to pay more - could be something to look at and make premium offer more attractive.SP risen lately on good news now a hold IMHO and will not add

Load factors Hijust an update on a relatively new route. Was on the plane to Ljubljana from Gatwick last Friday. A relatively new route.Plane was packed - even had to put my hand luggage in the hold.Same on the way back - on a Monday.Maybe this expansion policy will pay off.Am a buy

Re: good value Had a similar experience when my father passed - refunds straight away no questions asked- Well run company and performed very nicely last few weeks

Re: good value Just want to add Good Company to deal with. Had to cancel through illness. Promised that they would refund the APD but an email for my insurer never came through.Contacted the CEOs office. Someone rang me, asked why I had cancelled. I explained I had just been diagnosed with cancer (now cured) and was immediately given a 100% refund. Certainly wil! Book again.
