Re: Positives Absolutely agree about overall cost and convenience but EZJ don't really know anything about their customers other than that they want to go somewhere. If it is ludicrous that you pay more for your taxi than you pay for your flight then how come you assume it is your airline that is to blame and not your taxi company. It strikes me that it is your money that you are spending and your choice about how you spend it.

Baker2005 24 Feb 2017

Re: Positives As I said before - many fly from their closest airports for convenience. EZJ fly from many major airports like Gatwick that are close to major cities ( unlike Ryan air etc...). Convenience (Ease of getting to/from the airport at each end ) will often outweigh a few pounds difference in seat price. Its somewhat ludicrous that often I pay more the taxi at my destination than the flight cost to get there. If only Easyjet would have the conviction not to follow the seat price race to the bottom, I think they could still maintain good load factor at higher margins.

Re: Positives WOW! The big question is why nobody has ever thought of that before? If you have a price at which you make a profit, simply charge more and you make more profit. BRILLIANT!!!. And it extends to so many industries. Just think, it the competitors agreed and did the same nobody could afford to fly anywhere and it wouldn't matter because all the airlines would have gone bust.

Roger Fletcher 24 Feb 2017

Re: Positives the problem is the management is selling the seats too cheaply. If only they would charge £5 per seat more they would transform their profits, and I suspect at hardly any change to load factor.

Einstein the Second 24 Feb 2017

Re: Positives They seem to be increasing passenger numbers whilst maintaining load factors. Plenty of countries in which they can increase market share. Competitors who are unprofitanle or marginally profitable will get squeezed. The long term looks good, at least until the oil runs out.

Re: Positives this is a good solid run company.its going for bums on seats even at slightly less profit it will reap the benifits later and barring any globel type disasters this stock will rise.At this price divi is evan better, 5% plus for next year . £10 to £11 i think could be achevable .my local airport southend is increasing passenger numbers as easyjet puts more routes on.

Re: Positives I agree with you, Commercia, but airlines are very sensitive to any negative news - fuel price, terrorist acts, confidence in the economy, Exchange Rates, French Air Traffic Controllers, Largest economy in the world introducing trade barriers etc.

Re: Positives be patient and buy around 900p, this will recover. you will get tenner in due course

Re: Positives Due to some misguided thinking I am also in this at 989-ish

commercia 23 Feb 2017

Re: Positives so why are you here? im holding and will buy some more at these levels, this will go north of 10000p again

Re: Positives What I have said in the past is that the share will drop equally or more than the dividend and will stay low because there is no other reason to go up and no dividend in sight for another 12 months. Nothing to prop up the price. This is what I was trying to say. The once a year dividend is pathetic in my opinion just the cost of carry knocks it down how much with inflation at 3%

Re: just doubled up today Maybe the yield is too good to be true?

WhoSparticus 16 Feb 2017

Re: Positives The share price will always drop, that is it will be marked down, by the same % as the divi. This must happen as the value of the company has decreased by the value of the cash paid. It will then rise again as there is an expectation that the company will make profit and accrue cash for the next dividend.

Re: just doubled up today Certainly hope you're right. I came in back in 2015 when the SP was 1650.Even with the divi, it's going to be a while beforeI see any profit on this one

Proverbs 26 vs 5 14 Feb 2017

just doubled up today As i see it the upside potential is much greater than the downside risk. Especially with the dividend.
