Re: Topped up (again) agree - not sure when the tide turns but when it does will move back up to 300p quickly. At current price, think it could get taken out at 300p anyway.

Topped up (again) Can't resist - added more today. I'm lucky having sold a tranche of these at £3+ to cash in profits; so now back to just above my original holding level at what I consider a discount to 'real' value. Still my favourite Company in the portfolio and VERY overweight with latest purchase so will watch this with interest.

Re: PJ Maske is a As ever, thank you for your considered view. IMHO, the refinancing and the further stake in Peppa Pig clearly caused some consternation in the market, and also led to a comment by a significant fund that ETO was too far stretched. I didnt understad the refinancing at the time and I still dont, so it always leaves one with a concern about the management. As for the future of the assets and the marrket prospects, I agree that there would seem to be not a lot to be UNDULY worried about there! At this SP they should be a strong buy on that basis but the market hasnt rushed in!

Re: PJ Maske is a Claude, thank you.I haven't had a lot of time to go into this one in detail but on December 9, ETO reported they were trading in line with present market expectations, that is for the year ending March 31. There has been no RNS since to indicate the contrary, something ETO would be obliged to do if there were circumstances of that kind. The market took a poor view of ETO's financing deal in December and of the earlier deal to take a higher stake in the Peppa property and then, as now, brought the enterprise value (taking account of debt) down to a level at or below the independently-assessed value of the content portfolio. Tbh, I never understood that then - and I don't understand it now. Both Fox and Disney have recently reported good results and, even allowing for the "Star Wars" phenomenon, the movie and home and mobile entertainment delivery business seem to be in good shape with no sign of a downturn. Is there a concern that the series of "Star Wars" releases planned over the next few years may crowd everyone else out of the market? I wouldn't see that happening but the market may think otherwise, even though ETO's range is very wide and its growth prospects as much in television and video as in cinema releases, for example in the planned tv series for "Rambo". Volumes traded are not exceptional so no clue there to any big holder ditching the stock. The market is having fits and spasms, as you know; exactly why ETO has come down so sharply, I don't know. These are simply my initial thoughts on this and I need to do more work on it.Best wishes,Jane.

PJ Maske is a "runaway hit" New article - PJ Masks is a "runaway hit" and is to be rolled out "across the world":[link] there will be a major push for merchandising of PJ Masks coming this year - ETO now have PJ Masks and the highly successful Ben & Holly, as well as Peppa:[link] Junior Show 'PJ Masks' Getting Electronic Toys And Apps This YearPJ Masks will get toy-lines, clothing and apps including lights and sound HQ and vehicles in 2016. PJ Masks is a Disney Junior and Disney Channel cartoon created by Entertainment One, Frog Box , and TeamTO. It first aired on September 18 and it based on the Les Pyjamasques book series from French author Romuald Racioppo. Aside from the great animation and characters the novelty for young viewers is a set of aspiration superheroes of their own age. I spoke to Olivier Dumont, managing director of eOne Family, about plans for PJ Masks in 2016. Having already heard about the show’s global toy partner, Just Play, I wanted to know how soon toys would be hitting store shelves.“In the US the toys will be arriving during 2016 then elsewhere in 2017.” Dumont then went on to rattle off an impressive array of related properties although specific licensees couldn’t be confirmed at this stage. The line up will include dress-up and role play outfits — which I’m sure will include Pajamas as worn by the heroes on the show. Plush toys will be coming too, no great surprise here. Less expected though is a range of more technical play-sets. Dumont described PJ Masks Vehicles and PJ Masks HQ feature lights, sounds and working elevators. There will also be books and apparel.etc"

Wind of Change Blowing? Posted on DM website today:An activist investor is urging change from the board of Peppa Pig maker Entertainment One – and threatening to force a sell-off of the firm.Hedge fund Livermore Partners wants the TV distribution firm to slow the pace of its dealmaking and improve its cash flow after eOne made a series of acquisitions including buying majority stakes in production firms such as the Peppa Pig creator Astley Baker Davies.Livermore recently bought a stake in eOne and its managing director David Neuhauser, in a letter to eOne boss Darren Throop, said it was ‘overlevered’ adding: ‘I want to see a leaner and more-focused entity that can compete globally with the likes of Lionsgate.’The size of the Livermore stake is not known. EOne said it does not comment on speculation and its shares rose 5.9p to 155.9p.Read more: [link] Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook

ETO Fundamentals I have held ETO shares for years and this slow but consistent weakening of the share price is annoying. However, ETO's fundamentals still appear to be good, in the sense that their profit is increasing. I invested in ETO because I saw it is a 'safe' company which has the potential to grow and diversify and possibly as a takeover target. I don't need the money at the moment so I can live with this but I would like to think things would turnaround later on in the year.[link]

Re: This makes it seem fair value then, ... Happy New Year and a belated thank you for that. Unfortunately, the wider investment world doesnt seem to agree with your views. Of course, at this point, we are in a time of sell off generally so not a good time for ETO to recover, and investors are gloomy about things generally never mind companies that dont seem to show much growth and appear to have made structural (share numbers) and financing changes which dont appear to be of great added value at this point in time. Lets hope you are right and I will keep a watching brief.PS This BB seems to have been very quiet of late. I trust that you are well, and perhaps focussing your attention elsewhere. I always rate your comments and analysis so perhaps you could say which BBs you are focussing on at the moment? Best wishes.

Re: This makes it seem fair value then, ... Claude, there's a new report out from Edison:[link] believe this is sponsored research so DYOR on the figures and forecasts but, all the same, there's quite a bit that's interesting in the report relating to the different markets, products and strategies of ETO.
