Up 20% in a week Just traded at 184 - only about 2.5% short of the recent NAV update. Bid for SVG has certainly changed sentiment in the quoted private equity sector. Pause for breath now I think.

Half year update Very strong numbers here this morning: NAV up to 187.89p at the end of July - up from 160p at the end of January. Luceco, the electrical and lighting supply business still growing quickly and comment is for a potential IPO at some time.Shares now on a 20% discount to NAV at 152.5p middle price: way way too cheap IMHO.
Stock overhang Looks like the stock overhang which has brought the share price down from 118p to 102p has been cleared at 110p. The NAV is at 142p so there could still be some good upside from here.
Re: anyone else on this top performing f... I would be happy with that !
Re: anyone else on this top performing f... Around a third of the market cap here seems to be in cash. Management are also aligned with external shareholders as they hold around 26% of the equity. It just doesn't appear on any radar screens, perhaps given its size and illiquidity. Also there is no dividend - an issue for some. However, at this level, it seems remarkably well underpinned and I would expect to see the shares move back towards the highs of 2014 now that the NAV has been announced.
Re: anyone else on this top performing f... i also bought only this week, somehow it had eluded my sifting of investment trust tables despite the 5 yr return figurei have it in a SIPP as a LT abs return play my only answer on the NAV is that the portolio is quite concentrated (or maybe that should drive the opposite position) and maybe thats viewed as more risky but 30% is a lot even for PE/ VCT they need an aggressive investor like electra currently have!
Re: anyone else on this top performing fund? Just bought in on the figures this morning. NAV up 5% on the year, underlying businesses trading well and nearly £10m of net cash on the balance sheet. Can't understand why the discount is so large; well worth while for the board to look to buy in stock, as they are out of closed period, if they can't find any suitable acquisitions.
anyone else on this top performing fund? n/m
