Re: Lithium, Germany And another interesting link.....[link] grist to the mill.TP
Re: Lithium, Germany Interesting read, YB. And don't forget Ilika (IKA) when it comes to solid state. They're concentrating on powering IoT devices at the moment (along with Toyota research Institute), but scaling up battery construction is certainly on the agenda there too, along with fast track materials design.Things are certainly ramping up on the battery/EV front. All good news for Li producers ( when we get the shovels out !! ))TP
Re: Lithium, Germany Well spotted TP.I've just noticed the following article dated 02/01/17. It gives a fairly good overall picture [link] a fast moving development, illustrated in the first para where in February 2016 Daimler CEO stated no need to add to over supply then, in less than a year, Daimler announces expansion of its battery Plant at Kamenz. The second para VW signals .The big question is whether there will be enough battery cells available in the next decade to meet the fast-rising demand predicted by automakers such as VW Group, Daimler, BMW Group, General Motors and Ford Motor. VW Group is leading the charge. Europe's largest automaker has said it expects to sell between 2 million and 3 million full-electric cars annually by 2025.[link] which is part of VW, has a couple of manufacturing Plants within 130 to 150 miles away from Cinovec. Vrchlabí is 130 miles away. Interesting Since 2012, the Vrchlabí plant has been producing highly sophisticated DSG automatic transmissions for the entire VW Group. This 7-gear dual-clutch transmission DQ 200 is one of the most innovative automatic transmissions in the industry. Starting with a capacity of 1,000 transmissions per day, the plant had increased capacity to 1,500 units every day in 2014 and in 2016 it was already 2,000 units a day.Sorry for going on a bit. In one of the articles, VW is looking at solid state batteries for its high end vehicles. Solid State?? Now there's another unknown manufacturing factor. No one has mentioned Dyson and it's difficult to find any news on Dyson.. A year or so ago, Dyson bought out Sakti3 which included Sakti3's Solid State battery patents. Dyson has hinted at branching out from vacuum cleaners and hairdryers into EV's. He's also said in the last few weeks a major investment in the UK. More 'hoovers' and hair dryers or what. The bottom line is, nobody outside the various Board Rooms have any idea. The only thing we PI's can be sure of, demand for lithium is increasing exponentially and EMH is well placed.YB
Re: Lithium, Germany Hi, YB.I also spotted a Tweet about Skoda's new EV. Being built just up the road from Cinovec too. Links to VW's plans, no doubt.TP
Re: Lithium, Germany Afternoon TP,Think you beat the RNS by 4 hours approx. It's a strange article in the Automotive News, no mention at all about the Cinovec or Zinwalder mines. I keep coming back to the Daimler Giga Factory at Kamenz which, if memory serves, VW are working with Daimler (but don't quote me), then there is the reopening of the VW Transparent Factory at Dresden. So why not BMW cooperating with Daimler. Possibly.Kokkola in Finland is one of the latest places lining up to mine lithium. Anyones guess at the moment.YB
Late RNS PFS to be published next month, they're just pulling all the threads together. Seems that the sp rise is due to the article mentioned in my earlier post "Lithium, Germany"TP
Lithium, Germany [link]
PFS Tomorrow ?Sp movement would indicate there's something afoot.TP
Re: Pro Active Thanks TP,I'm just back from a break down south so first chance to see the presentation from the boss. Very positive.YB
Pro Active Piece by the boss..[link]
RNS Bacanora - Zinwald Mine - Cinovec Mine BCN RNS taking a 50% stake in Zinwald mine.Zinwald mine just 2 miles from Cinovec.YB
RNS Increased resource estimate at Cinovec.Sp all over the place this morning.Buy on dips (if there's any more dips to come!!)TP
Re: Off we go again.... At least REM is showing signs of life today )TP
Re: Off we go again.... Morning TP,EMH doing very well, pleased for you getting in early.I'm hanging on to my hat with Aminex, one of the reasons I didn't have any spare for EMH.I top sliced a bit to get in to AAAP and AFRI in anticipation of news and results in a month or so. Good luck.YB
Off we go again.... +14% alreadyTP
