Re: Cdf Blackrock Hi VeskiI have always thought EMG was not tied to the indices or at least the financials indices. The share has gained significantly since mid-October perhaps catching up on some of that US currency movement it was lagging before this time. Agree that most are in this stock for the dividend as generally EMG has been a disappointing growth in this stock for a number of years.
Emg Emg seem tied to direction on the indicies, if they down emg is down and vice versa. Whilst sp is disappointing, it's better than hanging around the losing stocks of oilies.Gkp down from 400p to 1p now. Rkh, excite you name it.You also get paid here couple of times a year so it's better than the non-paying losing stocks.I doubt the risk takers want to move on The little high beta shares bb are littered with people who got no idea what they doing. Just a small rant. Probably just talking to myself!
Cdf Blackrock Seems Blackrock has exited a massive cdf position.Hopefully that clears off something to allow a better sp.Although I don't know if BR was buying or selling, regardless if they wanted to exit in the 120s price range it could have held the sp?
Re: Share buy back not achieving much! (... Man used to always hold steady north of £2 years ago. they shed half its value, but it could be a good recovery play in time if new management succeed. at least new bloke put his money in also i suppo
Re: Share buy back not achieving much! (nm) My sentiment exactly. I'd thought the buy back would boost the share price, whereas looking at the share price today it's not even supporting it. I'm going to sit on my hands and not press sell and try to be patient!
Share buy back not achieving much! (nm) Was hoping a bit more upward movement combined with the recent more promising news. oh well.
Re: NEW ARTICLE: Has worm turned at Man ... Didn't take long to run out of steam did it?
Re: NEW ARTICLE: Has worm turned at Man ... CB, it has been a torrid time for PI for many years, I'm in these at £1.79 so have some way to go to break enen. At one time dividend was the attraction that has been reduced over time, like many other co's that find trading difficult. Let's hope for everyone invested here The Worm Has Turned!
Re: NEW ARTICLE: Has worm turned at Man Grou... lets hope so. been rotted for years now.
NEW ARTICLE: Has worm turned at Man Group? "LSE:EMG:Man Group has had a rotten 18 months. The hedge fund lost over half its value, falling from a record high amid volatility in China and around the Brexit vote, and a strong dollar. But traders are now betting that the worm has turned after ..."[link]
Trades Well done to the guys who traded this rise, when I read the earlier posts I thought it made a lot of sense, sadly I didn't jump in F.
Spike Just knew it, herd mentality in selling.I think this will stop the rot for the time being.
Trading statement A good day ahead, I hope.
Slide Well what a slide just before the update. It'll be an interesting update for sure.We will see what happens. Some holders do seem to be in a panic mode.Brexit brexit repeat often enough and sell....Man group can't access EU markets in the future...yada yada, forgetting man's funds are not restricted to the UK.Perhaps launching a acquisition from the EU area would now be prudent. If Man bought a hedge fund or a fund from Germany that would pretty much suffice.Have those in charge even thought about it? It's a no brainer to me.Using dollars for the transaction would make sense.
Re: Emg Hi Veksi. I topped up yesterday with exactly your thought process, but Friday will tell if it is right or not. I agree though that this stock often does not follow logical rules therefore I expect good news and a slight drop in price. If the news is not so good, expect a rise.
