Re: sold must admit i dont blame you either for selling. this really is a dull yield share.i see they are still doing buy backs - wonder if they'll ever have an effect?
Re: sold Thanks Veksi, food for thought.
Re: sold It's the issue that if Dow is being capped (big if) by 22000, then emg is also unlikely to exceed 170p. I don't know where Dow is going but the selling at 22K Dow could imply downside to come. So I wanted to exit to be safe in case Dow sheds 10%. If not, there is always another opportunity knocking, just need to wait for it. Man funds seems to perform better in an upward market now that AHL is a smaller part of their business,
Re: sold Hi Veksi. What has changed your mind other than the normal Man Group stock nothing happening?
sold Short holding I've left after couple of months with a 5% gain plus divi worth 3%. Not a very good performance.Moving on.
recovered back to £1.70 I just can't see it getting anywhere near £2 in the next 6 month
Step movement what it looks like to me, though the news is getting more promising. Seems to jump, then just go stagnant again. think £2 is a bit of an ask at present. more likely to dip if the markets tumble.
Re: I will try to contain my indifference.
Re: £2 well i was the only one here talking about buyingbefore the update here. And i did snap up real shares happy to have done so.it was obvious EMG would have had a good resultdue to positive market mood.Well. I will not bother posting here anymoretotal waste of time.
Re: £2 Veksi I see you are like me no longer bored but £2 looks a big ask. I am not a chartist so not much faith in your prediction, no slur intended just prefer fundamentals.
Re: Although, looking at your chart - it also suggests that the price will fall back once it hits £2+It looks a bit 'guessy' to me.
Re: £2 a quick look at the charts will say that once it breaks from here, 210-220p is on the cards. It's not just a guess.
Re: £2 I wonder whether that buy-back figure of 93M/100M is as of today, or as it was 30th June?(I imagine the end of the buy-backs support could certainly be a reason to sell)
Re: £2 On what do you base your £2 prediction? Is it just a guess?
£2 Sp will hit £2 and over this year.Decent results although low margin business thrives and not enough performance fees. Despite that it appears good enough for a hike in sp. Up 5% now and i dont see why holders would sell now when it's set to rise.
