Re: Directors Deals Good pointThis table shows many deals at 41.5p when the Ask was 55p and the Bid was 45p - ? ? See 15th, 16th and 26th Oct[link] note that it is a rolling list and as more trades come in, these 41.5p will drop off the page.
Re: Directors Deals Very good point ChardNick.I have left orders in weak markets on previous occasions and it has never worked for me.
Directors Deals So how did our leader manage to acquire 20,000 shares @ only 41.5p each? When I tried to buy 2,500 the price I was offered was 54p!How does that work then??All the best
Re: Analysis report on El Oro This is an interesting trust which concentrates on small to medium resource stocks combined with quality blue chip and medium sized companies. The income comes from the latter enabling the dividend to be paid. This Company valuation took off during the resource boom but, I think the management tripped up by not reducing its exposure during the boom times. Consequently, the valuation suffered when the oil and metal prices declined at the rapid rate we have seen. However, the Company is worth a look if only for reading the thought reflecting comments of Mr Parish in the annual reports. The sp at 55p stands at over 30 % discount to assets and the shares are in a tight market because a substantial amount of the shares are family held. However, weak markets in mining and resource stocks can lead to take over bids for quality companies which may assist the valuation from time to time. I bought a few shares at the 70p level with the view to being patient while picking up a reasonable yield ( currently around 6%).It is not easy to pick up a few shares and the spread is wide. The shares are completely unloved at present but could do well when the resource cycle turns.( sp 55p)
