Re: Half year report Hi KraylThanks for that - do you think it would be a good idea to reinvest the 914p payout into the same Electra shares? I did that with the last payout and seems to have benefitted
Half year report The report gives the current NAV as 1.12bn which is 2926p. On the current SP of 2722 that is a 7% discount. Then, they have announced a further payout of 914p per share. This will no doubt result in a share price drop of 914p. I have difficulty in understanding the benefit of this. It implies that the management has no ambition in growing the company. Other companies borrow money because they have so many places they want to invest. That said, the track record is good and the management have apparently decided to only invest in opportunties that they really believe in, so I will stick in here (for the moment).
Re: A lot of assets have been sold ... Does anybody know why the discount is still showing -48% on iii and Trustnet after all dividend payments have been made ?
A lot of assets have been sold ... ... since the last Dividend payment. Does anyone know how much money's likely to be in the kitty now and how that might translate into a Dividend?
Sold out, maybe I should not have? I sold out a few days ago at 2683! Obviously I rushed, yet profit is profit. The question is where to from here? Any ideas?
Re: Following dividends Hi Stepenwolf Glad to have called this one right, People reinvesting special divi is pushing this hard.
Re: Following dividends Hi BricklayerYou were right - over £27.00 todayThe NAV calculation has not yet caught up - still showing 47% discount at the new lower price
Re: Pay Day Mine has arrived (HL).Where to next for Electra?
Re: Pay Day Not in yet
Pay Day I wonder if the special dividend will be credited by iii today or if it will take a day or two to be allocated?
Re: Following dividends Thanks for that Bricklayer
Re: Following dividends When they declared the special divi the asset value stood at £53.27p then they sold Treetops this increased the asset value by over a pound so having paid a special of £26 we should have asset value of £28 and this includes £500 million of cash so at £25.35 they still stand at a heavy discount, I am expecting this to go to £27 soon.
Re: Following dividends Hi Thanks for that. What I meant was have they used up all the discount, so if we buy more shares, when they pay the big dividends, will we be just getting the same cash back that we used to buy the shares now?Probably not an easy one to answer TBH
Re: Following dividends As I understand it, there will be more dividends as and when they decide to do so, however it is not "our own money", it is their money and they can decide to pay it out as dividends, do share buybacks, re-invest it, pay it to themselves as salaries and bonuses, and so on,
Re: Following dividends Hi AllI am confused now - is it worth purchasing more of these in anticipation of more dividends, or is it too late and any dividends paid will just be returning our own money to us?
