results today EDP have been something of a slow burner for years . However they have paid good dividends for all those years , and look to have solved a number of issues , notably the pension deficit. They repeat that if an acceptable offer is not made for the company , they will look to return cash to shareholders . It is worth remembering that the chairman ,who has a large holding, is over 80.In the meantime they are expressing confidence about the future.The net asset value has increased dramatically as a result of the change in the pension deficit.A strong hold
