What I Like About Eden My first post on Eden Research.I think Eden is a particularly interesting company and one different from the norm. The first benefit it appears to offer me as a shareholder is some form of protection for my investment in that is has patented technology. Patents take time to acquire and that is before you even do the R & D to get to the position of being able to apply for said patent(s)From slide 19 of this years AGM presentation, £12 million invested in this area so far [link] the Company is now entering revenue into the accounts and the full results of this years (2016) efforts will likely be seen in their year end accounts, published next year. Their 3AEY product deals with botrytis which affects grapes among other products. This makes 3AEY a global product to solve a global problem. The market for solving that problem is enormous [link] you have major agro-chemical companies who have a) trialled the product in the field and then b) signed agreements with Eden to be a distributor of that product, thus making it commercial with real income. See 11th and 22nd February 2016 as examples [link] has also announced that Sumi-Agro France should come to a decision before the end of 2016 and equally RNS'd that Taminco trialled their solution too [link] So there should also be news to come here.Eden's model appears to be royalty based payments from product sold under licence. However, I think there may be opportunities to sell the finished product direct (via toll manufacturers) as indicated in this RNS [link] also enter into licence extensions (for other related products), licences can be by geography and their solutions extend beyond grapes and agricultural products. See slide 4 and 11 regarding Bayer Animal Healthcare [link] out from slide 19 onwards to see the size and market potential in which they can share [link] in the future their are expected solutions for human health care too [link] pretty sure Eden runs at a cost of around £1 million a year or as near as, so to me, it looks like a fantastic investment opportunity with a market cap sitting at just £20 million. Here's hoping that is so.Check out their website as their is just too much to post really.

Re: Placing Now below the 10.25p a share placing price. The question is did these buyers put stop losses in place? - if so that could be bad news for the share price in the short term - but might present a buying opportunity once the dust has settled?Looking at the chart for today - it seems to quite a dramatic drop shortly before the end of trading on what appears to be very little trading on the LSE.The B

Re: Placing @ 10.25.TW hates it and even says involved in a Pan Pump ?

Placing What gets on my nerves is a placing of cheap shares to the fat cats at a low price without ordinary shareholders getting a look in. My experience with other companies is that placings happen more than once and always to the disadvantage of ordinary shareholders. It smells of management growing the company to their benefit and going rough shod over ordinary shareholders. The B

Re: Wow Unfortunately if Tom Winnifrith is correct, then tomorrow will be calamitous. Eden Research and the Panama Pump fraud should help you out on a search if you don't know yet.

Wow That's taken a real bashing, hope there's nothing the matter.Pi

World Crop Protection News Interesting mag, its a bit like the agricultural worlds playboy. You need to be a subscriber to get past more than a few lines but to the right hand side it has some of Edens achievements , one dating back to 2007 with Cheminova (seems like a lifetime ago)[link] we cant be held at this price for much longer, I know commodities have taken a beating but lets face it, what Eden have here is the cream of the crop (no pun intended) Our day in the sun will come (again no pun intended)3D

Re: Bulgarian Approval Granted YesWe still sit and wait for the approvals from the real big boys - France, Italy and Spain. However, the current doldrums do allow another modest top-up.Good luck to all holders.Speculator
