ECM, Shooting Up. Posted first thing on FAR9 threadElectrocomponents ECMInteresting break out from the a base and worth further research. Look at the volume rise.[link]
Re: bought a tranche I bought an initial tranche of these today at just over 179 (bought some PFL too). On a ten year chart I think 170 - 180 is a good entry point but on a longer term chart going back to 1999 I get 150 target so I agree with your weak buy. Will buy another chunk if we get to 150.
Re: bought a tranche weak buy 180..
Re: bought a tranche bought again, next deal buy < 166.5 or sell > 229.27Also bought tranches in BLT and BP.
Re: Premier Farnell results Well given that ECM reported one week ago that seems rather negative. Given the yield, the cover and the current low proce, even a divi cut leaves these looking good.
Premier Farnell results Agree - PF results do not bode well. I'm not waiting to find out.
Re: Dead money Well given the run up to 250 my view in November that this would be dead money was wrong - on the other hand, we are now right back to where we started, so not all that wrong. With dreadful figures this morning from PFL I would be very cautious ahead of the next update from ECM and am surprised it hasn't fallen more in response.
ECM valuation Interested to hear peoples opinions on Electrocomponents (ECM): [link]
nothing to make you panic guyssales up. a bit of margin pressure, which has been addressed. B/S fine. Yield >5%.In these stringent times, the leveraged players (borrow 1%, get 5%), income IT's and the grey investor will be all over ECM.Bought (again) today.itsso...DYOR etc, they only need a new CEO to carry on the good work
