Re: Link to Anpario Anpario split off from Eco-Animal and with them both doing so well, I think a merger unlikely as they both have different markets to exploit, albeit their underlying operations and USP's are similar. Note brokers have increased their target price from 235p to 270p, although I think their price target modest.
Link to Anpario Peter Lawrence is also a non exec of Anpario - very similar business. I expect a merger before long although not clear how much it would affect the SP
Re: Trading Statement been looking good for a few years - just about time people are starting to notice.I expect a much improved divi this time.
Re: Trading Statement Agreed. At long last this company is looking good.
Trading Statement - this morning is excellent news. We had already been promised 'impressive' results and now they're saying ' beyond expectations'. I reckon this business is likely to be sold to a larger competitor in due course when Peter Lawrence is ready to retire. In the ownership of a company with it's own sales forces, not having to sell through agents as EAH now largely does, it will be a very profitable, and therefore valuable, business.
Re: Share buy back I agree but I would have expected price to rise on the news - but maybe not with this unnoticed share! I am expecting investors' patience to be rewarded this year.
Re: Share buy back The two re not related. They are not cause and effect. The news announcement came late in the afternoon, whereas a few share sales earlier in the day (and no buys) prompted the small price markdown. This has to be good news and suggests that the company is accumulating spare cash. Remember that in the interim statement in December the chairman said. "I look forward with confidence to ECO delivering an impressive performance when results for the full year are announced next summer."So let's hope that we are, indeed, impressed.
Share buy back Today the company has announced a share buy back programme and the share price has dropped! Why would that be then?
Re: NEW ARTICLE: ECO turns on the sales Around 1.5million shares have changed hands this week without depressing the price so obviously some big new investors taking an interest or large increases by existing investors; surely an encouraging sign?
NEW ARTICLE: ECO turns on the sales "When ECO Animal Health published half-year results in December, traders may have been impressed by double digit increases in revenue, profit, and cash flow. Long-term investors may be celebrating too.Sales of Aivlosin, the companyâs principal ..."[link]
Re: Large Buy Presumably because someone (or more likely an institution) put in a buy order a few days ago and the MM has been raising the price to attract enough sellers to complete the order. i.e. The recent price rise might have been because of today's trade.
Re: Large Buy How is it, I wonder, that a purchase of 400,000 shares in a small company, as EAH is, can be made without any resultant change in the share price?
Large Buy Unusually large share purchase today of 400,000 bodes well for the future I think.
Re: NEW ARTICLE: Red flags in risk reports What is overlooked in this article and not quoted is. The following which appears in EAH's interim statement:"While the licensing authorities around the world recommend the overall reduction of the use of growth promoting antibiotics, this direction of travel plays straight to the advantages of Aivlosin which is a veterinary prescribed drug."So not really a red flag I think. Eps likely to nearly double this year according to broker forecast - green flag!
Interim results - are impressive and the company is anticipating "impressive" year end results in due course.Excellent.
