Sell at 1.3106, buy back at 1.25... ...or even at 0.875 if you are a taxpayer. I can only surmise that the subscription must already be horrendously oversubscribed. I think we (thems who put up their hands) will be lucky to get 5%. At least Spreadex are offering me 1 for 1 on my minimal bet.Regards,Seadoc

Re: Please sir can I have some more. bb,From my post last week of Thurs 10:32:"e.g. free monitors? free probes? cut prices related to volume sales? free/subsidised training. Moreover, what has caused the flurry of trading relative to normal? Who are the traders doing such frequent buying and selling? DEMG's financial and marketing policies are opaque to say the least. It's all a mystery."Note the question marks after the freebie monitors and posters.Maybe you would care to apologise?Cheers, RAC

Re: Please sir can I have some more. Hi BB,Time will tell if I am wrong re total shares in issue, and if wrong I will willingly admit my mistake. Will post total in issue after 12th Feb.

Re: Please sir can I have some more. RACThe fake news comment was about your suggestions that they give away loads of freebie probes and this is hidden in the accounts. Where did you get this from?No dispute that they give away monitors. This is transparent and not opaque.Very gracious of Pond to concede he may have got it wrong while also showing us how he may have been mistaken from a supposedly reliable source.BB

Re: Please sir can I have some more. bb,From your Monday 09:53 post "we frequently need to place our monitors in hospitals at no cost to the hospital". Presumably not fake news as I interpret "no cost" as a freebie.Cheers, RAC

Re: Please sir can I have some more. Morning BB,My figure re shares in issue are taken as the most up to date from the LSE share price information that is updated at least twice a week. It is titled 'Deltex Medical Group Fundamentals'.The Placing is conditional upon, inter alia, approval by Shareholders at the General Meeting of the Resolution, the completion of the Subscription and Admission. It is expected that the Placing Shares will be admitted to trading at the same time as the Subscription Shares and the Offer Shares, that is, at 8.00 a.m. on 12 February 2018. So the 140,000,000 is surely not yet been added to the total and will not be until the 12th Feb. That's how I read it, but I agree I might be wrong. If the placing shares are already accepted, it appears pointless that it still requires agreement to accept at the GM.The opaqueness is down to the no fee monitors/probes that are placed in hospitals, as we do not know how many these are we can not relate these to the cost returns.I think we do need to accept we disagree otherwise we will go round in circles.

Re: Please sir can I have some more. Good evening PondAccording to the 2016 accounts they sold 122 monitors with cost of sale of £181,000 so average cost of £1,484. In the US of A they sold 3 for £45,000 making it a margin of just over 90%.You can also see how many they added to fixed assets, work out margins in UK and elsewhere. The probes are very easy as use the percentages given against the revenues. I think RAC just made up the free probes bit in a rare fit of negativity, or perhaps fake news, so can't help there.Still can't see what's opaque. Its good night from me.BB

Re: Confetti shares PondFrightening indeed. Not least because its fake news. There were 313,115,807 shares in issue after the last issue and now another 140,000,000 plus up to 28,000,000 on the pittance being offered to us little guys. So I think you are adding on the 140,000,000 a second time.No gold star for Pond. Sorry.BB

Re: Confetti shares Hi Fokisi,There are 481,210,000 in total pre the next issue of 140,000,000 so total after issue will be 621,210,000 a very frightening figure.

Fokisi 30 Jan 2018

Confetti shares If I am correct, FY2016 Accounts show number of shares in issue of 284,935,000 (but not including those to be issued for share option schemes?)After recent further issue & placement, anyone know how many are now in issue?

Re: Please sir can I have some more. Morning Busted Boomer,If you can tell me how much profit they make on a monitor and probe in the USA and how much in the UK allowing of course for the number of monitors/probes placed in hospitals at no cost then I will concede that the numbers are not opaque. If not I think we will have to agree to disagree.

Re: Please sir can I have some more. I sold something on Ebay last week and made 60% profit margin, How much did I make.

Re: Please sir can I have some more. RACA gold star for looking at the reportsHidden away on page 3 of the last report and accounts is a section called 'Business Model'. Buried on there in normal typeface is a section that says"How do we make money? Our sales proposition to customers comprises both acapital purchase (the monitor) and a revenue purchase (thedisposable probe). Due to the often protracted procurementtimes for capital items, we frequently need to place ourmonitors in hospitals at no cost to the hospital, which canlead to the faster adoption of our technology into a hospital’spractice and, therefore, a quicker use of revenue generatingprobes. There are over 3,400 monitors installed worldwide. The more probes that are used, the more revenue wegenerate. Our ODM is designed and manufactured in theUK giving us good control over both product quality andprofit margins. Our gross margin earned in markets wherewe sell direct, namely the UK, USA, Canada and Spain, ishigher than in those markets (over 30 countries) in which wesell through distributors (where we do not incur direct sellingcosts). Our gross margin earned on probes is typically over75% in the UK, around 85% in the USA and 55% to 60% inour distributor led business."Opaque? Not exactly one for Bletchley Park but looks like they can maybe sell probes for more in USA than in UKBB

Re: Please sir can I have some more. RAC."it seems that DEMG approaches in UK and USA differ."Well spotted. Also I think there is not a consistent pricing policy in USA, but for that I cannot provide evidence. But if true that may well be positive looking forward.Tomorrow I have my birthday pressie, a day on a cookery course, filleting fish and then making the meal previously served up by the now retired Michelin starred chef. So not until Sunday will I will get out the pencil and work out a plan. Between us Mrs Seadoc and I hold DEMG in 5 accounts, so almost like playing poker, but never any good at that to be honest.Regards, Seadoc.

Re: Please sir can I have some more. seadoc,A brief check on last interim results gave UK 7450 probes for £662,000 i.e. ca £89 per probe with USA 5755 probes for £1,030,000 i.e. ca. £179 per probe (???) while monitors unit costs were respectively UK/USA £6307/17412.From such a simplistic check it seems that DEMG approaches in UK and USA differ.Your analysis suggests freebies i.e.monitors lent out but with some accounting correction - opaque indeed!Cheers, RAC
