Re: Big drop on opening - a question No trades since 1247 hrs, so it looks like even being able to buy at below 1.25p is not tempting any buyers.
Re: Big drop on opening - a question "...Today is D-day for taking up subscription sharers at 1.25p, might also be a cause for fall. ..."Today, a shareholder owns shares which allow subscription rights at 1.25pTomorrow, the same shareholder owns shares which do not allow those subscription rightsAmount raised from subscription rights will be £350k or less (if I am correct), so a relatively insignificant amount for Deltex's operationsI am trying to think why & how the D-day matter is relevant...As a barometer for appetite of existing shareholders to support?
Re: Big drop on opening Hi Seadoc,And with buys at less than the subscription offer price, why would anyone take said offer.Pond
Re: Big drop on opening Pond,Today is D-day for taking up subscription sharers at 1.25p, might also be a cause for fall.Seadoc
Big drop on opening The market looks red right across the board so Deltex is not alone on dropping at opening. The test will be how much the Deltex sp bounces compared to the market overall.
Re: EP presses another Deltex Re-set But... "...that with a 'properly managed company' behind the product..."A recent post interested me: it stated they thought an Exec Fee p&l charge of £500k for a company with £5 million Sales (let's keep margins out of it for now) appeared rather highPerhaps it was for this reason that that contributor had chosen not to invest, but who knowsDeltex Exec Fee's are a matter for shareholders to decide & approve (not politicians, thank goodness). So one must assume a majority of shareholders approve the performance & fee of the Exec So I wonder on what criteria the performance of exec justifies £500k? Can we assume that that criteria must include factors other than level of share price (no sarcasm intended)So what is that critieria? Ability to raise funds through share issues? Just keeping Deltex operating is a sufficient achievement, over many years of loss-making, given the NHS has been targetted as the major client? Perhaps the task, cost & disruption of appointing a new exec is just too high? As with family businesses, a change of leadership is enormously difficult to implement in such companies like Deltex? For us small investors, before investing, ensure exec is sufficiently competent with correct skill-setPerhaps that is one lesson we can take from this likely financially painful saga?
Re: Please sir can I have some more. RACReally? Have you really had enough? Hope so.Sell up, move on and save yourself an ulcer.BB
Re: EP presses another Deltex Re-set But... Hi Seadoc,Followed your posts on this thread for many years and wonder if like me you feel the product is not the problem and with all the test results it is difficult to fault anything but the management.Do you still think as I do that with a 'properly managed company' behind the product, a company that actually knows how to sell, the only problem would be getting orders out quick enough.
Re: EP presses another Deltex Re-set Button Fokisi,"Even at this "cheap price", is there really a good probability & reasonable evidence to indicate that Deltex will prove to be such a good investment, at least for us small investors? "If the subscription is not oversubscribed then sadly the writing is in the wall. The appetite from marketmakers over the last few days for shares at above the subscription price would suggest that the masters of the universe see a future and as a mere mortal who am I to disagree? I have stuck my hand down the back of all five sofas (well 2 are in the barn, two in the sitting room and a small armchair in the bedroom) and offered up the lot. The only shares I am promised is through Spreadex and that to increase my up bet by all of 200 shares. If I get all I have applied for in the unlimited subscription then I am deep in doo-doo.Regards,SeadocPS to RAC and BB: You are both right. I invested on the up slope end 2003, My anaesthetist had just seen the kit at a meeting and was well impressed. The first profit warning was in 2004, the profit would be affected because they had loaned monitors and given free shares to 6 hospitals to do the trials. I gave the RNS to my anaesthetist. the time I had finished the op he had negotiated loan of monitors and probes on sale or return and nearly 600 patients went into our trial, presented before any results from the hospitals with freebies. As has been pointed out the sales model is country specific. I think the loan of monitor and more expensive probes is the way forward. I have already said that there must be some flexibility in apportioning revenue between monitors and probes, this is clear in the narrative but very hard to pin down in the notes to the account. So please can we call it a score draw? thanks, Seadoc.
EP presses another Deltex Re-set Button One has to concede the achievement by EP to keep the business funded, albeit by on-going share issues whilst the business continues to be loss-making and burning cash, and with little evidence yet of increasing sales revenueEven at this "cheap price", is there really a good probability & reasonable evidence to indicate that Deltex will prove to be such a good investment, at least for us small investors?
Re: Please sir can I have some more. bb,You're being obtuse. I had alluded to DEMG providing freebies, either monitors or probes. Initially you inferred that DEMG did not proved freebies (to initiate business). You were wrong. Then you stated that I only implied probe freebies. You were wrong. Then you ignored the monitor freebies. Wrong again.Enough.Cheers, RAC
Re: Please sir can I have some more. RACApologies, again. This time is because I have no idea what you are talking about and no idea in what way you think you can possibly have been right.Or are you harping back to getting Jeremy Corbyn into position as a potential prime minister??BB
Re: Please sir can I have some more. bb,You stated I was wrong about freebies re monitors but how right I was. As to their marketing policies they have continually used them for at least 5 years. What's so different now?Cheers, RAC
Re: Please sir can I have some more. bb,I thought they were cheap at 30p, which with the dilution is about 6p in today's money.Seadoc
Re: Please sir can I have some more. RACNot entirely sure why you think I should be apologising. You said that DEMG's marketing and financial policies are opaque and a mystery. I have pointed out a number of places where DYOR and any mystery evaporates. So, I think that their marketing and financial policies are pretty clear. The question which bothers me is not what they are but whether or not they are going to work.I have my view and you are welcome to your's. My view is that I don't know but the shares are cheap.BB
