Another Deltex crossroad Had enough. If iii do not value their customers (many start with none subscriptions before becoming subscribers) then to me the site is not worth bothering with. Would just like to say I have enjoyed most of the discussions and banter over the years. So goodby and best of luck to all. Regards Pond.
Another Deltex crossroad Hi Hangon, A weaker pound should mean that their products are cheaper, although they are using the argument that it does make their profits less as they are selling at a cheaper price (pound to dollar). Crafty how they only use the one side of the argument that suits them. Perhaps the board should throw their hands in and go into politics. As to the sp, it was 30p early 2011 (ah those were the days of big dreams). I still feel that if a big brother in the medical instrument field (Williams medical supplies the largest UK medical disposable equipment or say Johnson and Johnson) had got hold of their product it would have flew of the shelves years ago. At least then Deltex could have had a decent piece of a very large pie, instead of having 100% of almost nothing This pathetic lot couldn’t sell discounted water to a Bedouin dying of thirst.
Another Deltex crossroad Today’s trading update is as expected, utterly pathetic. The heading ‘highlights’ is an oxymoron as there are no highlights at all as in every section sales are lower than the corresponding period of 2017. I can see no way out for this company, it’s either sell out to or amalgamate with a bigger player, something that many of us wanted years ago. How any management could allow such a slow death to occur to a once promising company that had what we were told was a game changer is beyond me. The slow train Deltex has been grinding to a halt for years and as I am sad to say is fastly approaching the end of the line buffers, I am waiting for the next fund raising that will only fall-stall the inevitable. What price will the sp start and finish the day has to be down. I accept the above is all doom and gloom, but if anyone can see any light at the end of this long dark tunnel, please let me know.
Another Deltex crossroad For us private investors, what is our position now, given 2018 developments?
Hard choice Same words as every year since (well difficult to remember that far back) with only the Andy Mears reference difference. Surely there will be no one at the AGM that falls for this rubbish. As often said, no matter how good the product is, if its left on the shelf because they can’t sell it, it won’t make any money. Deltex Medical’s management, led by Andy Mears, will be working on optimising the Group’s sales and marketing activities in order to maximise the Group’s revenues and addressable markets. The team will also be exploring new ways of addressing the challenge that many hospitals currently only use haemodynamic monitoring for high risk patients.
Hard choice I doubt if the company have gone even half way in telling us what the situation really is. As a shareholder, I lost my faith in this company several years ago, retaining just 1000 shares, although I should have sold out completely, but one of the few times heart (still believe in the product) ruled head. Ewan Phillips should have gone long ago as we need someone with a none pussyfooting approach, although I feel that any chance of saving this company have long gone.
Hard choice It all seems most strange… Who knows what reality of situation is? It is possible some shareholders decided enough was enough
Hard choice As I have no idea how to post a new subject title on this useless iii new system, I am posting here. So Ewan Philips has jumped ship, ‘indicating that he had concluded that it was now time for a change in leadership to guide the Group through its next stage of development.’ Isn’t that exactly the same words that the previous CEO used. My thought are that he has jumped ship before HMS Deltex goes down with all hands, plus our money of course. Pathetic…
Re: Hard choice - who buys the drinks in... Most PI's are probably nursing at least a 50% plus lossBut then again so are some of the DEMG BODIf another £2M cash is needed next year , and based upon trading that looks likely, with DEMG going sideways at around 1.25p ish1p a share for a fundraising would look about right , unless trade worsens eg another USA account is lost.So that would be another 200 Million shares to be issued , which along with the loan notes deal means DEMG would have around 1 Billion penny shares in issue.
Re: Hard choice - who buys the drinks in June? Deltex defines its key management personnel to be its Board of Directors, which received compensation in FY2017 of £531kWe assume a monthly cash-burn of, say, £120k. With funds raised in Feb 2018, such compensation will continue until at least May 2019, sayExec is well motivated to consider alternative strategic options, or maintain status quo? It is a no-brainer for them, surely?Where does this leave us PI's?
Re: Hard choice Better that than a p*** up at the pub where DEMG shareholders can go to a wake and drown their sorrows. Only question is who buys the rounds? The investor s who are broke or the DEMG management who are expert at p**ing money away up the wall?Cheers, RAC
Hard choice Just seen the Investor day RNS.Unfortunately on the same day I have been invited the the annual, watching different paints drying day. Will probably go to that event as likely to be more exciting.
searching for value Earlier in year, some of us PI's thought it was going cheap & wrote the chequesOthers thought it was not More simply a case of throwing good money after bad, & enough was enoughKnowing what we now know, still so cheap & on track to being a success?
Re: USA lost account means 20% drop Hi Seadoc,You could be right, but surely the CardioQ is supposed to save money, although I appreciate it may be down to the timing regarding end of financial year, another reason why we shareholders deserve to know the reasons why none renewal. As to no 10 buses, it may be that I should have put my money into a bus company. Would be nice to see 3 contracts come along all at once and be substantial.
Re: USA lost account means 20% drop Pond,US hospital accounts are I fear a bit like No 24 buses. London buses make up 10% of passing vehicles but even on Victoria Street you can wait half an hour for an every 4-5 min service and then 3 come along one behind the other. But I wonder if this is the barter pre-payment release? Picked up an early account on very favourable terms that they could not afford to renew and the hospital dropped the account?Trading pattern today is interesting too, 4m traded by lunch would usually be associated with a price move but since 1000 someone has been mopping up any sales at or around the mid-price. I watch with interest, and continue to hold an interest.Regards,Seadoc
