Re: Too much bad news for my liking We're back to half-full, half empty. To me, PL has a reputation for bringing Lace into production with minimal dilution and minimal delays in things that he could control.Cash flow should not be a problem even with reduced output as long as there are still some diamonds to sell every month. So it all depends on how the individual sees it. Unless one's timescale is short term, I have no problem in recommending it as a buy.
Re: Too much bad news for my liking PL now has a reputation of missing deadlines and production targets, hence why to change it and the SP he must now generate a positive cashflow and increasingly strong profits, without the bad news. Hence I cant see much change for a long time here price wise.
Re: Too much bad news for my liking You should be concerned by delays and falling SP's though in my view jaf. Money erodes, which may or may not come back, and delays rock sentiment, which impacts price.I know your long term view, but sitting here for 5 years for 20% profit someday is hardly worth it. Hopefully DCP despite it's current state will do much better though.
Re: Too much bad news for my liking I totally agree with you. The problem has been that many people have treated DCP as a typical AIM mining stock expecting quick and large profits and when that has not happened, the sp has suffered accordingly.I have always thought of DCP as a long term diamond producer sitting on a proven long term resource. Hence, I really haven't been too concerned about the delays and the falling sp. Sooner or later, the diamonds will be mined and there are a lot of them ! At that point, DCP will repay the waiting many times over. So really, it all comes down to the individual investor's timescales.
I am taking a long term view based on this company's prospects, what has been said on here is based on frustration but don't forget there is an estimated £1.5b under the ground from an established working site, so patience will bring rewards for those who wait. I consider this a buying opportunity rather than a loss with time and some good luck for a change things will only get better if the company can get things moving from out of the ground.g . hed workings
Re: Too much bad news for my liking the problem is Jaf the damage now done. We've just had a good diamond sale, and the price has gone nowhere from where it has dropped. Sentiment is low with DCP due to all the problems the past year. The only thing I think DCP now needs is CONSISTENT GOOD news. In time, that will turn the tide. And that is about the only thing I think will do it now.

Re: Too much bad news for my liking I am very disappointed in your post. Yes, we will be running nearly 18 months late on full production by the end of this year, but the mine is running and the diamonds are coming out.Every mine has teething troubles and maybe we have had more than our fair share, but I cannot accept your statement about our CEO lying about our DCP's prospects. There have been unforeseen delays and yes, with hindsight, cash calls and the like could have been done better but to leave now for the sake of a few more months waiting would not be my course of action. But each of us must do what we believe is best.
Too much bad news for my liking Over a year now of constant bad news. You just couldn't make it up. Markets are wiping me out. Even my hope here is now diminishing fast. This company is just going to keep delivering bad news and cash calls to keep it running, but don't worry, over 1 year ago it was fully funded to production. CEOs just can't stop lying with their companyou prospects, it should be made illegal.
Interims "DiamondCorp today published Interim results and an Operational Review that saw further operational setbacks in the development of the Lace Diamond Mine. We have reduced our provisional production and sales expectations, but given the uncertainty around the terms over the proposed working capital facility and the full impact of the operational difficulties in August, we place our recommendation and target price under review."Panmure on today's interims, published on Research Tree
Re: Best not rule out anything Best not get over optimistic this time jaf, remember all those disappointments the past year. My optimism level is low at present which probably is wise here currently.Someone buying a few chunks at 7p today so will assume sells.
Volume increase News soon?
Re: Best not rule out anything I hope so. I'm not that confident about the sale at the end of this month, but assuming August has been the first month of full production, then from the end of September I am hoping for good sales.
Re: Best not rule out anything thank you for the reply Jaf. So there is hope our price per carat against the original specified could rise dramatically should we find some decent diamonds.
Re: Sector consolidation potential wonder if hes even heard/looked at DCP yet.
