Even greater news Follow up £1mill tote order barely 1 week after the first order was announced. Now we know why our paltry volume has increased in recent days

dave297 25 Jun 2015

great news on both counts. Not only have we announced two new substantial income streams over the last 2 days,we have done so for an outlay of less than 3% of our issued share capital, which should result in an increased EPS together with increasing dividends.Directors & senior management hold significant numbers of shares & they are the primary beneficiaries of a progressive dividend policy & should be highly motivated to secure higher levels of sales ,profitability & cash flow.

Re: Good news Let us hope the FD collects the cash this time.

Good news Good news regarding the crate today. It's a little late but very welcome. Coral should start to move up and hopefully break through 16/17p.

Disappointed Not to have received a year end trading update(although there is still time). To the credit of CRU we were regularly updated regarding the bad debt & expected recovery & it was clearly very positive to receive the Interim divi.Energy costs & the price of our raw materials have reduced substantially over the trading year ended 30th April &,assuming that our prices held, our margins should have improved & our bottom line may better than expected. Also disappointed not to have received confirmation that the long discussed tote contract is proceeding as planned-the inference being that it isnt.Only time will tell.

Re: WHAT? Year end is approaching & year end trading update is a possibility.Confirmation of the 10 year tote deal has not been announced,as far as I am aware, which is a concern bearing in mind we are now firmly in Spring, when JG expected the deal to be finalised.Perhaps our new brokers have had a closer look & are not as impressed as we hoped.JG s latest update was positive ,so I will share his optimism, for now-not that we could sell due the illiquidity in our stock.I am here until the disposal.

Re: WHAT? Joe Grimmond needs to assure investors that the 10 year contract to supply totes is on schedule.

Re: WHAT? On low volume. If it goes much lower I will be buying more.

Re: Local Authority Budgets Getting confused between kerbside recycling tubs and Morrisons type plastic tubs for home internet delivery.Old age is a dreadful thing

dave297 20 Mar 2015

Re: Local Authority Budgets Bad-what makes you think the tote contract is with a Local authority?I thought it was with a company providing a supermarket home delivery service-eg Ocado.Either way it would be great to hear,at last, that the contract is now going full steam ahead-particularly as JG has previously said that it should happen by Spring( & therefore only 5 days to go )

BADDOGREX3 19 Mar 2015

Local Authority Budgets When I was involved with these people ,some years ago ,There was an imperative to spend the budget before the financial year passed or there was a perception that the allocation for the following year would be cut accordingly. So if this culture still pervades the public sector then the decision on the Tote contract may well be imminent Lets hope that The Man From Delmonte' says Yes

Re: Top Up Shmul-while I agree that 25k shares is hardly material ,but it is better than nothing ,which I view as a positive. Our SP is recovering and I speculate that something may be occurring behind the signs.Perhaps the long mooted tote contract will finally start generating decent monthly cashflow for CRU ,or we are in the process of buying another company.Either way,if we believe that our dividend is sustainable & will increase, our yield, even at 14p,is very acceptable & many of us are looking at net yield of 6/7% or more on cost.

Re: Director share purchase or maybe that was all the spare money he had available to invest and he thought this is the best place to put it.Personally I'm always happy to see directors paying more for shares than I have.

Shmully 02 Mar 2015

Director share purchase 25,000 share purchase - not exactly convincing is it? In fact it is rather pathetic, he would have been better off not doing anything. In my opinion any purchase less than 50,000 shares by a Director in this company is useless.
