Re: Volume has just shot up Volume higher than for some time & too topped up post results Badd, the increased divi being tempting in my SIPP & hopefully with more to come assuming that we continue to grow.I would not be surprised if another acquisition is not underdiscussion & with view to his current love affair with CRU Gervais & his funds will no doubt be supportive.

Re: Volume has just shot up Ah that's the reason... Never buy tips the day after the Tip..... Market makers always hike the price and reel in those who would rush in. Analysts price target is 30p ...Who takes any notice of Anal ysts these days? Long term holders are often much better able to determine where the price is going That's why we are holders.I feel smug today as I topped up after the results. Foresight a rare thing I am truly a legend in my own lunch time......

Re: Volume has just shot up The stock was tipped in the Sunday Times.

Volume has just shot up Volume always leads price. The stock was marked up pre market open by 10% Unusual for CRU no given reason. Obviously there is a reason I guess whispers have reached Mr market as they always do.After correcting down to 2% after opening we now see a scramble to deal and we are up 11% on quite good volume. So something maybe going down. The market as a whole is seriously on the back foot today so why are we bounding ahead? what ever its looking like its going to be good for holders?

Re: Volume 2 trades of 1250000 each at 19p-so someone has disposed of/is disposing of a large stake.Interesting that our SP has not been marked down, suggesting that the Market had a buyer for the shares.MMs would not take on 2500000 without a mark down unless they were immediately sold on for a turn.Interesting !

Volume Massive volume going through today, somebody is unloading.

Re: Finals Today One is tempted to say that Dear old Mr Market is expecting another acquisition? Rather anoying for those of us that topped up in the results dip.

dave297 25 Aug 2016

Re: Finals Today I agree & my prospective yield is about 10% based on average costs - so no complaints from me.With the full benefit of our 3 acquisitions last year ( & with the unlikely assumption of no further acquisitions this year) our 2017 turnover could be in the order of £25mil, assuming no major post Brexit recession. It will be interesting to see if our new CEO takes the opportunity of buying some shares, unless the ink is drying on a further acquisition & placing.I will increase my holding on any further weakness .Ultimately I am sure that JG envisages an exit at some point & with view to large % held by Directors & vendors of their businesses to CRU they would all be amenable to a takeover, assuming the price is right.

Re: Finals Today The market is so short term these days.News driven to a significant extent,so if I top up now when do I expect to see a significant up tick What News do we expect over the next 3 months? Not much is my view.We may be over sold at the moment or we may be looking for a double bottom to confirm the correction is over I am sitting on my hands for the time being.Nice dividend of 5% But will we be knocked back by Brexit blather?

Shmully 25 Aug 2016

Dividend Pleasing results, the performance was a little more sluggish than I expected but the increase in dividend is excellent. I am sure that more companies will be acquired shortly which will help realise Coral's goal of £50m turnover in 3 years.

Re: Finals Today "Sell the news" as they say.I expect the drop this morning is simply those short term traders who bought in anticipation of the results and can't afford to hold on for the long term. Great buying opportunity if you ask me.

BADDOGREX3 25 Aug 2016

Re: Finals Today Well done Coral,Nice set of results showing a progressive improvement.Mr Market punishes this effort by slashing 8% off the price! Lord help us if there had been a little under performance.

Roger Baron 25 Aug 2016

Re: Finals Today What sort of exciting do you want? This is a company that has a progressive dividend policy yet at current buy price is giving a yield of 5%!No surprise Miton is a fan.

dave297 25 Aug 2016

Finals Today Media products cease to be relevant to us, the tote contract continues, acquisitions all did well although trade moulding had a poor year.Gearing down, dividend up, more acquisitions likely-all in all a decent outcome & broadly as expected ( if not a little short) with a positive outlook statement.Hopefully our SP will consolidate & move forward but this was never going to be one of my more exciting investments !
