Re: Annoying Judah - now at 73 and I have no idea where it will stop. What I will not do is buy on the first upturn. If it shows a continued recovery then I will have a look at getting back in.

Share price This is irritating.Bought in @£1.70 for the divi and seen this and the SP dive. Considered selling @ £1.28 and boy do I wish I had! No indication of management turning this around and down another 5% today.

Re: Annoying Hi KraylPrice now at 87p, do you think this has further to fall?RegardsJudah

Annoying It was really annoying to read the upbeat RNS from Cenkos. With dire results it would be reasonable to start from that point and try to explain how they are going to rectify it - not just say how brilliant they are. That said, it is possible that the shares are now oversold and this worth watching to see if it could be a recovery opportunity - but definitely not buying yet.

Re: Right Price Relieved to put the whole Quindell episode in the rear view mirror (particularly as I took a massive hit on Quindell myself), not much of hit really. The main question is what demand there will be for AIM listings during the next few years of BREXIT uncertainty, and what alternative sources of income can Cenkos find until the market recovers? I have resolved to hold for now, even though I am not brimming with confidence. Cenkos is only 2.83% of my portfolio, so failure wouldn't be particularly painful. Missing out on a recover would be more painful, as I think there is more upside than downside.

Re: Right Price If the penalty is full and final it is a shame but survivable and in fact is only about 1% of net profits. It's what happens to AIM prospects post-Brexit that matters. Probably should have sold out like others but my holding here is not huge and is 50p underwater anyway. I can afford to let this be a recovery play with a few divis along the way. But it would be nice to feel this is it for this blot on the record. GS

Right Price Following settlement of the FCA investigation, it is difficult to know what the right price is for this stock. The cash settlement does not seem too onerous but, combined with the market background following the Brexit vote, could justify them reducing the dividend payment.Tricky one!!

Re: Sold out Hi Grey.Hmm, I am also looking at LGEN and CSN as an alternative. I buy for the divi and usually long term but have been burnt here. Nursing a loss but hoping for a post Brexit calming of the market before selling up, or should that be praying!! to recover some of my loss. Maybe see you on other BBoards.Good luck.

Sold out I have to admit that I never expected Brexit to come, but now that it has I believe that life will be hard for CNKS for a while. I've therefore, after much agonising, switched into LGEN, which has fallen by a similar amount. My theory is that I'm buying into a business that should be safer for now. If a good time comes to switch back, then that is what I will do.I've taken a serious hit on these, as with several other smaller companies. Oh well. That's life, I guess.......

Re: Brexit Impact I cut my losses at 132 pre-Brexit, and will consider buying back in if it looks like the financials have bottomed out.

Re: Brexit Impact Good post Bronco and I agree, I bought in some time back for the divi and long term. Only to see the divi cut and the SP crash and not recover as others in the sector have. Holding for now but nursing a loss after buying in @ £1.70

Broncomaniac 28 Jun 2016

Brexit Impact I'm a bit concerned that the uncertainty caused by Brexit is going to discourage companies from listing on AIM any time soon, certainly for international companies that don't have a geographical reason to list in London, so bad news for Cenkos. For this reason I am considering selling out, however CNKS shares have been battered so much already this year it seems to have an undemanding P/E multiple, so perhaps its worth holding. Or perhaps I just don't want to sell it because I'm so far underwater (not a good reason I know). Thoughts?

Read Edison's note on Cenkos Securities, published this morning on Research Tree. It's completely free to view. "Cenkos (CNKS) is a specialist institutional stockbroker with a consistent track record of profitability since its formation. Its entrepreneurial approach has helped attract an expanding client list and win mandates for substantial transactions, including the fund raise of over £1bn for BCA last year. The level of profit is subject to market fluctuations but the current valuation appears to reflect cautious assumptions given the group’s historical performance and attractive yield..."

Re: CNKS results I appreciate the support that director purchases can give to a company, but why is it that the directors thought fit to buy shares for themselves (with their own money of course) with the share price in the 120s, but the same people thought it was a splendid time to do share buy-backs (using our money) when the price was more like 180p?I wouldn't have minded them buying back 15% of the company (10.18m shares) with the price in the 120s! It's yet another example of share buy backs being poorly timed. Don't issue the shares in the first place, or when they are issued leave them well alone!Any PRP that is linked directly to EPS should automatically be adjusted for the effect that buy-backs have on the EPS. Guitarsolo - pleased to see the price up a bit (confidence returning). Shame I didn't have the spare cash (or stomach) to add at 120p.

Re: CNKS results It's all down to fundraisings, I think. CNKS seems to have got off to a lean start compared to Numis......CNKS needs a big one to catch up.......but I'm sitting tight, the year is young.....
