At at miniscule £2.3million mkt cp,with the prospect of a license award in one of the world's oil hotspots,near Tullow's Massive Jubilee Oil Field,Clon is probably the most highly geared oil share on the market right now, one only has to look at today's price swings to see that.Do not be surprised to see further rises as more speculators arrive,any positive news will also have a very significant impact on the sp.

"Petrel Resources and Clontarf Energy have advised that they have been informed by the Ghanaian Ministry of Petroleum that it is available for negotiations on the Companies proposals for amended coordinates of the Tano 2A Basin Block. The Tano 2A Block was owned by Pan Andean Resources, 30% held by Petrel, 60% by Clontarf and 10% by local Ghanaians. The Ministry advised that the Lukoil B Block is available for negotiations. Positive developments for both Petrel Resources and Clontarf Energy with the potential for negotiations on the Lukoil B Block. The Lukoil B Block is located offshore and in deeper water than the Companies previous Tano 2A Block, but is considered highly prospective." Northland's view out this morning on Research Tree

Northland published a note this morning: "In Ghana, Clontarf has submitted a proposal on an alternative deep water block as a potential resolution the court proceedings on its Tano 2A Block. These applications were lodged in 2016 and are being examined by the authorities. Significant historic work has been completed at the Block including 3D seismic and four wells defining the primary target on this Block is the Turancian reservoir section. Clontarf will commence a detailed analysis of the historic data once the title is granted, signed and ratified..."

Speculation Clon has been rising recently on speculation for the ratification of the Tano license in Ghana.The sought after block is in one of the world's hotspots, being next to Tullow's mighty 'Jubilee Field',and would have a very significant impact on the a company of Clon's size.Speculators who arrive early at the table ,could be handsomely rewarded even before the license is awarded.
