CLIG results Just added to my already sizeable holding @£3.83 - excellent price…
CLIG results Have held this for over 7 years, with additions along the way. It is a consistent income provider and appears to be a well-run Company. SP tends to be rather “spikyâ€, with sudden quite large reversals. We seem to have given back all of this year’s gains, so hopefully we could see a move back to higher levels from here. clig chart.png2812x2050 243 KB

CLIG results looks a bargain here at under 400p today
Insightful Interview with Robin Savage about CLIG pre-close statement
CLIG results Added a few more this morning @ £4.09…
CLIG results Sensible trading statement today. EPS 27p v 25p Final divi 18p v 17p Total divi 27p v 25p PBT £12.8m v £11.9m FUM £3.9bn v £3.6bn I like it. Still managed to grow, despite dollar pressure on emerging markets. A strong Hold. I’ve got a decent holding for a small sized company.
Re: Excellent company - imho " I would agree to buy more on the dips. Will we see sub-£4 again? " Good question. It's in the middle of narrow rising channel going back to the start of 2016 and in the middle of a much wider long term rising channel from 2008. Could go either way but I suspect up. Buying on pullbacks would seem like a good strategy.
Excellent company - imho FRTEB, In my opinion CLIG is an excellent company and well run. I took a punt on it in Oct 2013 when it was at 240p and paying a 10% dividend. I thought it was undervalued but had to be cautious - hence only put just over 1% of my money down. Shame! Since then it has been very dependable and paid out nearly £1 in dividends. I would agree to buy more on the dips. Will we see sub-£4 again? The potential cloud on the horizon is Barry's retirement on 31.12.2019. What impact will that have? How much is his steady hand on the tiller? Who is this Mr Griffiths that looks to be lined up to replace him?The interim results also highlight the continued downward pressure on fees. But hopefully these MIFID regulations will hurt some of the oppo enough that competition reduces and fees stop falling at least. CLIG is an excellent way to have exposure to the Far East and other EM markets through people who seem to know what they are doing. Great income - although if buying I would prefer sub-£4. Guitarsolo
Re: I bought my first tranche in CLIG last October at just over 400. Wish I'd bought more with hindsight but was being cautious at the time. Seems like a well run company. Solid results. Will add if we see a decent pullback.
Another solid/good set of (interim) results:[link] moving in the right direction in my humble opinion. Over 20p EPS for the last 6 months with the typically stronger second half to come. Interim dividend lifted a penny to 9p. If the final divi is likewise lifted a penny to 18p then the full year will now be 27p and hopefully set for further rises barring market turmoil. Still, less than two years now till Barry retires.....they're putting plans in place but....Guitarsolo - have always intended to add to a previous position but never had funds at the right time! Oh well, patience and see what happens.
Good statement Another good trading statement and dividend announcement from CLIG today.......
Good results A great set of results today, these remain a long term Hold for me.....
Good results Another set of great results. Could be a cyclical high but still look good value......
Results out I'm travelling just now, but found time to read the half year results. They look pretty good to me, boosted by weak sterling and a strong stock market. The dividend is held flat at the half year.My only reservation about CLIG is that the founder is moving towards retirement, I believe. It is unclear quite what will happen to the business then. But I rate it a strong hold.A cyclical stock, driven very much by emerging market performance, but very well run and transparent.A strong Hold for me. Well done CLIG. A huge dividend payer. A bond substitute with some risk; in my view less risky than bonds in todays market.
