Re: Results Interestingly Hansa Trust has also recently gone for the "pools" approach. This is another family held trust on an even wider discount.
Re: Results The other factor holding back the narrowing of the discount is the 'Cayzer effect'. With this large grouping controlling the company we'll struggle to see the discount ever approaching the levels of its comparators - RIT capital etc. Good performance anyway although helped a lot by the JD.com holding in one of the funds. I do think the strategy of managing by different 'pools' has been a success.
Re: Results Since the dark days of a few years ago the discount has narrowed significantly. I wonder how much further it will narrow from here due to the relatively large proportion of unquoted (and illiquid) assets held by the trust. Fairly or unfairly, the market views these 'unknown quantities' with some suspicion.
Re: Results More likely correction would be a positive one not negative. A good performing trust does not deserve to be at 15% discount.
Re: Results Missed them ( and a gain of 50% ) some two years ago. Waiting for a ( substantial ) correction before stepping in.
Results Look good, progress has been made again from this top class investment.
