Re: Perfume Games,"I'm doing an exercise in munter clearance"Always a worthwhile exercise, m8. I commend you for it. Mrs LKH and I picked up a new munter involuntarily with South32, when BLT carved it off. Longing to get shot of it but not sure I can be arsed.LKH on the flybridge munter hunter extraordinaire

Re: Perfume LK -- On another note, I'm doing an exercise in munter clearance. You probably recall my howler buying into Menzies - well I just dumped it today and amazingly got away with it scot free (no pun intended) after a remarkable share price recovery due to some eejit activist investor pushing to break it into two. Well with a massive debt and a big pension and 2% margins, I figured it makes little difference if he splits it into 5, the debt'll still be there and Games won't be asked to pay towards it.Games - Phew!!! -- that was a lucky escape -- Scottish munter company as well I might add.

Re: Perfume "Cheer yourself up with this oldie from Reparata"man -- that's truly dreadful - reaches for the gin bottle!!!Games --- Choo up for the day -- I don't think the stock price here matters a jot for twelve months or until the next set of results get sniffed in the wind.

Re: Back in today below 150 and out 158.... John,"Their shoes seem expensive to me as a Scot but you are one too from Helensburgh if I recall."You're right about Helensburgh aw haw hey. The thing about Jimmy Choos is that, yes, as shoes go, they are quite expensive but, compared, say, to a watch like Patek Philippe (you never own it, you just look after it for the next generation ... yeah, right) a pair of Choo pumps are as cheap as chips. You get the perceived luxury but it only costs I dunno £700 - £1200 as opposed to mebbe £12000. There's quite a difference y'know. They wanna be a bit careful about stretchin' the brand too far (spectacles ffs?) but I reckon ol' Bart knows what he's doin'.LKH on the flybridge

Re: Back in today below 150 and out 158.... LKHHope things good with you. Just in and out of market last few months. So many shares overpriced A strange day for Choo being down about 5p then finishing up 9p. I didn't expect that rise at close. Their shoes seem expensive to me as a Scot but you are one too from Helensburgh if I recall.John with no shares now

Re: Back in today below 150 and out 158.62 Spain,I wouldn't thought Jimmy Choo was a stock to trade, but there you go. I shall continue to hold these shares for the long term. They don't seem expensive to me ... a bit like their shoes, come to think of it.LKH on the flybridge

Re: General Meeting LK - The compensation shocked me also - that's a helluva lot of footwear to get through to satisfy what could amount to be a pen pushing mouth piece -- they ought to wake up and sort stuff like that -- you surely can find a good person for a sensible package.I almost wish I'd bother to attend and shout from the rafters but sadly I have other more pressing things.Games

Re: General Meeting Games,Hmmm. The remuneration policy, as clarified, still looks potentially hellish generous. If I understand the revised wording correctly (it is rather poorly written) a new bloke or bird could be given up to 5,000,000 shares on top of the cash element as a signing on bonus.Jaysus, this is just a shoe company, albeit a good one .... Is that amount of largesse REALLY necessary? And why is the AGM out in the boondocks near Heathrow? Do they not want shareholders to turn up for some reason?LKH on the flybridge underwhelmed

General Meeting Wednesday May 27 Jimmy Choo, the luxury shoe maker, faces its investors for the first time on Wednesday since listing last year. The group’s annual general meeting at the Radisson Blu Edwardian hotel, near Heathrow, comes just three weeks after the business was forced to clarify its remuneration policy for new hires. It also had to reassure shareholders that they did indeed have a maximum bonus award for new employees set at 200pc of their salary. Shareholders will have to vote on the remuneration report, which entitles chief executive Pierre Denis to a £5.3m pay package, made up of £650,000 base salary, a £55,000 bonus and the rest in shares which vest between 2016 and 2020. In March, the business revealed that there was a 12.2pc increase in like-for-like sales last year to £299.7m, despite a weaker market for luxury goods. Shares in the business have risen by 22pc already, to trade at around 170p from 140p when it listed. The group’s £666m market valuation has also seen it enter the FTSE 250 index.
