The plant is closed... ..but just for holidays!!! This meant I met one of the night shift foremen this week. He said the firm seems to be on the up. Twice in the last couple of years all the unskilled guys were layed off, and the skilled were put to sweeping out the shops as there was simply no work! However the shifts have recently been expanded and the union reps say there is NO chance whatsoever of any job losses in the foreseeable future. I hope this is of some interest. (not a holder, but watching).
