Re: Record results! Just to add a minor issue here with regard a possible takeover. Many scoff at the idea of a takeover of Character saying that the big boys would not be interested in such a small rival.Well the big boys WERE interested back in 2003 when Character were involved in takeover talks with an `american` rival. At the time Character were 58p and the talks were terminated by Character because the offer undervalued Characters potential. The point is that back in those days Character were just a little UK outfit who did well by picking the next big thing which was good but did not pose any threat to the bigger players. Well now Character have grown up a bit since those days and are now taking market share in the UK and are begining to gain traction in Europe and Australasia. Character are just about to go global with The Clangers and Teletubbies and look likely to pick up further licenses. Throughout all this Character are taking market share from the bigger players and the question you need to ask is just how much of that are the bigger players going to take before they take action and make Character an offer they cannot refuse.[link]

Confirmation of Richard King share sale Just over 1.5m shares sold by Richard King:[link]

janebolacha 04 Jun 2015

Today's volumes I wonder if the exceptionally high volumes of sales today are because of Richard King disposing of his shares as he announced he would. In December, 2014, he held just over 2.4 million shares so that would tie in with today's volumes ( just over 2m - 10% of the issued share capital - as at 15h00). These lots seem to be going at 415p, some way below the regular SP, perhaps fitting in with these being sales to institutions (or perhaps to other directors or perhaps share buy-backs?). I don't see another obvious explanation and assume there will be a RNS in due time.

Re: Simon Thompson in "Chronic Investor" Note from the following link that even the low SP forcast for the next 12 months stands at £5.40 with a high of £5.75.Note also the increase in dividends. On both counts I believe these can be beaten, especially the dividend growth, even more so if the company cut back on the buybacks.[link]
