Re: Ah well ... we're oot ... so what's next... Celtic are self sustaining and doing well within the confines of Scottish game. Playing in the champions league into the bargain. This is as good as it gets unless something big happens to change the whole setup of football in Europe. Look back fondly on the great success such as winning European cup but that is not happening again unless the sugar daddies and TV pull the money out of football. Only that would give self sustaining Celtic a chance.
Re: Ah well ... we're oot ... so what's next... That was a typo ... its Brendan .. not Brenda. Wasn't trying to be funny.Lol
Ah well ... we're oot ... so what's next . . ?. As expected - out of ECL & out of the Europa League ... so, apart from Sundays Betfred (?) Cup, its back to a weekly diet of bread and butter until at least July next year..... maybe add in a Scottish FA Cup run, and a few (3) meaty games against that new club in the Scottish LeagueSo, what is there to keep us interested ? What's in store for Celtic FC over this looming bread & butter time scale ? With no more interest in Europe, its hard to see how the club can attract any better quality players than those already on the books. Even if we get the inflated £millions quoted for selling Dembele, or one or 2 others ...I see no hope of us attracting young, ambitious, quality players to the "bread & butter " of the SPFL ...well, not ones who can carry us through the group stages of the ECL ... we're in a vicious circle - we can find several good prospects at low prices ( eg Van Dyke, Wanyama, Forster ) ... sell them on at a decent profit, then we have to find some more to get us into the group stages ... then we're still not strong enough to go any further. As I say ... a vicious circle ... and I don't see any path out of it.Any ideas .. ? I guess the best chance we got is in Brenda Rodgers .... I've been impressed with him so far / so good ... maybe he can spray some magic stardust next ECL campaign ... like fighting well above our weight in Europe ..... just musing .... in hopeHail Hail

Moussa Dembele Congratulations to Moussa Dembele who scored two goals this evening to earn France Under-21s a 3-2 victory over England!.Another couple of goals for our 40m man.
£40million-rated striker £40million-rated striker keeping a 40 goal a season striker on the bench. Still according to sevco propaganda there is not much of a gap. LOL. Oh well as long as they keep fooling the sevco mugs thats the main thing.[link]
Sadly .... outclassed tonight .. ... by a team playing at a level above us ... and they had 3 or 4 of their regular team missing. Not looking forward to the return leg in Germany. Never mind, we can always cheer ourselves up again on Sunday by whacking our whipping-boys again. Another 3 or 4-goal slap in the arrze for those naughty Ragers will soon bring a smile back on our faces ...Hail .. hail
Re: Epic - terribletim .... A few classics in there Jimmie.
Re: Epic - terribletim .... Classic vid link, popes ... many thanks for introducing me to BillyNo'Well .... had never heard of him before. Looks like he's a YouTube sensation .... many hours of fun ahead for me catching up with his repertoire ....The great satirical wit and sarcastic "put-downs" of the Celtic Faithful never cease to amuse and amaze me ... LolHail, hail
Re: Epic - terribletim .... Simply wonderful Jimmie.[link]
Re: Epic - terribletim .... ... is that the only feeble criticism you could muster ? ... hahahaha .... you & the legions of other miserable hunnzz must be skulking and Green with envy ... 'cos yous are a million miles and probably tens of £millions off the pace these days .. hahaNever mind ...if your lot can scramble a home win in the big Derby match v Partick Thistle this weekend ... might cheer you all up a bit ....maybe make you think you are back on "the big-time" stage .... hahahahaha... PMSLLol
The celtic way; Thought we would get a draw tonight. Never right off the famous Glasgow Celtic (1888) at home in Europe. If I were to pick fault I would say the defence was slow to clear lines and get shot of loose balls. Do that better and that could have been a victory. Great night and positive result but the goal is to win Champions League home games. Not just survival. as that's the sevco way.[link]
Re: Epic - Monumental - Classic night .. Rejoice in your victory draw
Epic - Monumental - Classic night .. ... at Paradise tonight v Man City ( many peoples' favourites to win the ECL ! ) .. what an awesome blood & guts performance by our Bhoys .... I'm so proud of every single Bhoy out there tonight. They did not shy away from the budding English Premier League 'Invincibles' .... !Hope all those miserable Saddo's over at Govan are watching .... they must surely know their place in the scheme of things by now ...LolHail .. hail
Man City next up .... Well, Killie going 1-0 up today was an awkward moment, but glad to say my previous post's apprehension was not justified - Celts came through this one ok, more than ok ....Intriguing to wonder what will happen on Wednesday v Man City -- a heavy drubbing for the Bhoys is what should happen on paper ( considering the status and the squad values of the 2 teams )But we all know football games are not won on paper ....specially at Paradise ..Living in hope ...COYBIGLolGJ
