This says it all - Ragers fans go totally nuts .... ... and berserk - when they get a last-minute winner against - not Hearts - not St Johnstone - not Aberdeen - not Celtic - not Barca - not Bayern ...... but against wee Partick Thistle ..... Ha-ha. Biggest belly-laugh I've had for a coupla weeks - looking at that Pedro & his useless cheap amigo's jumpin' and leapin' around. " Thu-Loyal-Peepul " now probably thinking they can still get in the top 6 next season ... not with your finances, Hun-Bo's .... avoiding another shameful Administration should be your ambition. A Barrel load of useless Duds on the books - some with lucrative 1-2-3 -year contracts ... and no sign of Mr Scrooge King keeping his £30million injection promise. And to cap it all best player, the only player who gives a monkeys is approaching his 40's. The Bells O' Ell are ringing once again .... Tee-Hee .. .Seven (7) - in - a- Row coming up next year ...nae botherLook and learn ...Happy Days ...Hail .. Hail
Patrick Roberts -- great news Patrick Roberts turns down England Junior caps to stay loyal to Celtic for the Scottish Cup ... [link] What a great gesture by the wee man - only on loan to Celtic but he has confirmed himself to be a true (English) Celt by missing out on a chance to make an even bigger name for himself in the English National team set-up .. Lol ... and I just love this quote from Patrick in The Daily Record : " We have had a brilliant season so far in such a special year for the club. I want to be part of everything here. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and now I will focus on continuing to do all I can for Celtic "Those words are so mature for such a young English lad, and convey a Chris Sutton-esque love and commitment to Celtic .... Hail - hail to you Patrick Roberts - your commitment to Celtic is clear ... and I cannot praise him enough. There are hundreds / maybe thousands of young potential pro footballers vying for a spot in the England Team set-up ... and Patrick Roberts chooses Celtic this time.Go on ... Brendan Rodgers and Peter Lawwell - dig deep into the coffers and get the best deal possible from Man City ... and sign this kid no matter what he costs-he's so young-he's nearest we will ever get to Jinky-Johnston agan .. he's just a gem.Splash the Cash ... ( Just like I said about 18 months ago on here ... Celtic should have built their future team round Virgil Van Dijk - he's now valued at umpteen-many- more £millions than Celtic sold him for - but good news is that shrewd Celtic money-men will get some future "sign-on " fees from Virgil )Just think of it - Jamesie Forrest on one wing ... Patrick on the other ... trickery and speed down both the wings ...and a bunch of sharp mid-fielders and goal strikers down the middle .. ?So simple - but it probably won't come cheap ...Message to Mr Lawwell .. Just close yer eyes, take a deep breath .. and sign the cheque for Patrick Roberts... please LolGJ
New Order - We 'Arra-Peepul now .. haha-haha Got a permanent satisfied smile on my face these days ... gone are the dark ages when certain mindless neanderthals thought they rooled the World, LolIts taken about 60 years ...but the Good Guys finally got to where we deserve to be ... top of the World, invincible, unshakeable, and looking down from on high on the filthy pretenders wallowing in the mud where they deserve to be ... I just can't get enough ...Hail Hail ...LolGJ
1-5 Highlights Highlights from the latest Sevco capitulation derby.[link]
Total domination Of the Scottish game by Celtic. Since I started following Celtic in the early 1980s this is the most positive period. Total domination of the Scottish game. On and off the park Celtic are at another level. All this built on a solid business plan and no financial doping. It all started with Fergus McCann. He is the founding father of what we have today. No room for complaisance as every dog has it's day. If sevco can finally rid themselves of the RRM then they have a chance. The challenge will be most welcome.[link]
O/T ... Old Firm game On the off-chance ... does anyone out there have, or have knowledge about, a genuine spare ticket for Sundays game v Rangers ?Only got a few buyer preferences .... Celtic areas only (obviously) - No touts - no sharks - no dubious sources for the ticket. - cost price for any ticket would be great, but I'm not averse to paying a reasonable and sensible "add-on"regardsGj
Re: Hibs 3 v Hearts 1 ...and "Skipping" ... Had a quick recap over our last 2/3 posts, popes ... and it dawned on me just what you meant by "skipping" ... haha ... Back in the early 70's me and my wee pal Patsy used to stagger down to Craven Cottage at half-time .... ...pass over a coupla shillings for a drink to our favourite turnstile man ... climbed over the turnstile and watched 45 minutes of Rodney Marsh, Bobby Moore and the unforgettable genius of George Best - for many of Fulham's home games that year.... pure joy We called it "bunking" ... you call it "skipping" ... haha, same thing ...but as I said ... "Those were the Days " popes ... eh .?PSHere's another magical tale from those days .. at Arbroath ... of all places .. [link] hail ..GJ
Re: Hibs 3 v Hearts 1 ... nice one, HiBe... Haha ... those were the days popes .. eh ?
Re: Hibs 3 v Hearts 1 ... nice one, HiBees .... If Celtic are lucky enough to get to the Scottish cup final any Celtic victory will do for me.Wee memory for you Jimmie. 1985 Scottish cup final I was a wee boy of 12 . Skipped on the supporters bus to the match and skipped into the match. Nae money nae problem Jimmie. Wee boys from the 1980s would have the current crop for breakfast.[link]
Hibs 3 v Hearts 1 ... nice one, HiBees .. ! Great to see the Scottish Cup resurgence of Hibs from their painful decades of gloom ....would be a joy to see Hampden covered in green again if Celts and Hibs get to the Final. If that happens - think I would shed a tear or 2 for whoever loses ... at the same time being happy for whoever wins ..... all assuming that Final line-up happens, of course ...But well done to Hibs & Neil Lennon ...absolute star man .. and good luck to you and Hibs in the SPFL next season LennyThis SPFL / SFACup season maybe working out fairly nicely after all .... OK, Celts are already Champs, but a great battle looms between Aberdeen, Ragers and Hearts for the Runner-up spot. That could be a cliff-edge finale few games for all 3 clubsThereafter ...would be great if we could bite bigger chunks out of Sky and BT's £Millions next season ... or has that already been decided ?Just musing ...Hail ... HailGJ
Re: Moussa Dembele Yes popes, Moussa D looks like a rare raw talent that only comes along once in a blue moon ... but I would tread very carefully if I were a Money-man at Celtic. ...figures of £20million - £30million - even £40million have been thrown about in the media for this 20-year-old. With all due respect to his undeniable young talent & potential, and the general standard of the SPFL where he plays for his bread & butter ... those figures will probably be laughed out of Court by English Premier League clubs when the time comes. As I see it ... this year's Champions League Qualifiers will be crucial for Moussa - how he performs .. and whether Celtic get to the Group Stages. If we do get through ... and I'm not sure when next transfer window closes ... that would be the time for Celtic and Moussa to cash in and take the £Millions ... popes - All I am saying is ... your suggestion of waiting another 18 months at Celtic is a gamble in my mind - too many unknowns ...... eg failure to get to the Group Stages - a loss of form ? - an injury ? - the goals dry up ? I say ... cash in Celtic .. at the first opportunity when the money is still hot. Even a £20million transfer profit would be like a Lottery win. Don't hang on too long to this asset ... unless of course ... Brendan Rodgers is cunningly planning out a route map for Celts to have a realistic Blitz at the ECL ... Interesting times ahead popes --- .. meanwhile ..' they' will be out at IBox 2moro .singing: " Rool bitttannya--biittannya waives the rules..." - don't know whats more fun this season - the Celts marching on to glory & history ... or the rragers jumping under a train every week ... hahaha( Dreamt last night that the Rragers were interviewing Paul le Guen for the managers job ... but it was only a dream ... hahaha ... Happy Days Hail hail
Re: UP Roscommon Have not looked in here for years seems to have done well lately, was sent an alert yesterday i must of set years back. ill have to dig those certs out .
Moussa Dembele A lot of raw talent with this young man. I think he would really benefit from staying with Celtic for another 18 months. When he moves for big money his next club will expect the finished article. He would be allowed to grow and benefit from BR ability to bring on players if he stays on for 18 months. Show him some Henrik videos that will help.
What a pleasant evening ... .... leaping channels to and fro watching two SPFL games on TV. Bhoys have an easier-than-expected win v the Dons ( I expected more fight from them ) .... Hearts have an easier-than-expected win v the Ragers ( No hint of any fight from them )Hail - hail ... Happy Days for us ... Sad days for 'them' ... Celts now totally dominate the local game ... and no contenders on the horizon ... not good for progression of the game in ScotlandNot good either for Celtic progression in the long run ...even with players on our books valued up to £40million (really.?.. Dembele ? )But Keiran Tierney ... not since Virgil Van Dyjk have I seen such an accomplished, glued-on guaranteed Euro-class player in the making ...this youngster looks awesome to me at this age ...hope he can step up and cope - if and when he moves up to the top table. Will be so interesting in the next year or 2 to see how high this kid Tierney goes ....... a pleasant evening ...LolGJTotal dominance of the game in Scotland ... a squad of players worth many £Millions ...and loads of cash in the bank ....but we still need to fight miles above our weight in the ECL next year to have a hope of attracting more Euro-class players. All the same ... Happy Days
Re: FAO Jimmie Your welcome Jimmie.
