Re: Leigh Griffiths ... the new Larrson .. ? Likability and professionalism . A player like him would have thrived in the 80s / 90s. As it is now in 2018 he does not tick the boxes where the modern manager thinks he is also a star .Eat the correct food. Listen to the managers every word. Stick rigidly to managers plan. Be a 24 hour athlete. Oh and have some football ability but this is not strikingly a deal breaker.LG does not tick those boxes however under a manager like NL he would be playing every week and would have 30 plus goals.I prefer the old style managers who get players in positions and let them play.

Leigh Griffiths ... the new Larrson .. ? Watched tonite's game v Thistle .... first half Celts were in a stupor - wandering about with their hands in their pockets - half asleep - going nowhere ... then went 1-0 down. Then Half - time ... then Leigh Griffiths comes on .... sigh of relief in my house ... all is now right in the Celtic world. And sure enough ... the Griff conjures up the winning goal from nothing ... enough said.We've had Larsson, we've had Hartson, we've had Sutton , we've had a load of great strikers down the recent years ... .. but why has GRIFFITHS been benched for so many hours in the peak of his career in the last year or 2 .. ? This guy's a star - grumpy at times - silly at times - but Griffiths is a gem / aka his 2 free kick goals v England last year .... would have gone down in Scottish Folklore for decades -- but for last minute negligence by his defensive colleagues ... He's superfast - he's determined - he's an intelligent footballer - he's a natural-born-goalscorer ... ... these were all the same things we said about Henrik Larrson in his golden years ... Leigh Griffiths .... he's only 27 .... lets hope he never spends much more time on the bench ... Griffiths is gold-dustLol

Re: Celtic v Rangers .. match ticket Hopefully you got a ticket and witnessed how ordinary and over-hyped they really are. You got lucky in scraping a draw yesterday and Rodgers is slowly being found out for being the mediocre manager he is. The league was won again this year before a ball was kicked, and no-one can compete with Celtic on a financial basis in the foreseeable future. When it becomes apparent that they are there for the taking then Dermot will just dip into the ever growing money pot to ensure European football remains guaranteed. Despite the unbeaten record, which will most likely never be equalled, this is a very ordinary Celtic team for which circumstances flatter them greatly. Rangers are bouncing from one disaster to another off-field and show no sign of getting the right people in yet, but were still able to run you ragged yesterday despite a few key players being injured, and losing another early in the game.

Re: Another Happy Day - - - Yea popes ... what a great performance by the Bhoys last night v Bayern ... losing 2-1 at home doesn't look all that great on paper - but a few of our home-bred Scottish Bhoys from last night will have the £Billionaire English & Spanish elite clubs sniffing around Parkhead in the weeks & months to come leading up to transfer windows.....Well done Bhoys tonite .. no disgrace losing a close encounter v Bayern ( another one of those Multi-£Billion clubs ) .. but I hope Brendan Rodgers continues to develop & nurture the club's teams for a few years yet - and assuming he is allocated a fairly decent amount of £Millions for the transfer market .... the days ahead look good ... Brendan will eventually need to move on, once he has taken Celtic as far as he can within the Celtic budget ... Meanwhile - Over at IPox - !Hot News .. ! - they are searching the sewers & the drains around Govan ... but finding it increasingly difficult to find a suitable " Rangers-minded " new manager ... Happy Days - are here again .. ... haha ... £millions pouring into Celtic Park coffers from another ( albeit failing ) Euro Champions League campaign ... undefeated in 60 domestic games ... tho' could be at risk tomorrow if Aberdeen turn up ... Meanwhile, over at Ipox ... the funeral bells are ringing ding-dong for yet another duff manager & a diddy team ... and no sign of the £millions promised by the latest charlatan at the helm of the toxic sinking ship ... PSG - Money - Euro Champs League - 1) PSG ... they demolished Celtic - OK, but probably no team in UK or Europe would get any better result against this PSG team of international footballer prostitutes, from all over the world, when they are all on their "A-Game" 2) MONEY... if you have many £Billions of it more than your competitors ... virtually buys your club a guaranteed Euro Champions League Title3) EURO CHAMPIONS LEAGUE / EUROPEAN CUP ... Celtic won this in 1967 - with all their players bar one - (goalie Ronny Simpson)) who lived & grew up in Glasgow. Question -- How many of the last 2 or 3 or 4 decades of Euro Champion teams had 10 out of 11 players from within 15 / 20 miles from their stadium ? ... just cry your eyes out .. Barca, Real Madrid, Juventus, Inter, Man U, Liverpool, Notts Forest, Ajax, etc ..etc. NONE of YOU will ever do that ... 4) .. PS .. THE RAGERS - and their fans ..
