Holding Dundee to a draw at CelticPark ... yes ... you read that correctly ... we are "holding on" v Dundee .. ! Who .. ? No disrespect to Dundee, but ... 10 minutes to go, and Deila brings on Commons. Why ? .. with only 10 minutes to go ? If Commons is match-fit, why does Deila think he is only worthy of 10 minutes ?The best player in the current squad only gets 10 minutes .. ?How many minutes will it take for the Celtic office staff to write or type out a P45 for Deila ?On yer bike Ronny ... no number of arrogant fist-pumps will save you now .. not fit for purpose. SadGJ

Off Topic - - - " Old Firm / New Firm " Assuming there is a new club in the SPFL next season ... their name is something like " ragers International or InterContinental - Sham FC " ... Is there anybody out there with even a weak link or connection where I might acquire a ticket ( or 2 ) for the Celtic home games v this new club next season ?I live 100's of miles from Paradise.Last and only time I got to a Celtic game v that Old ragers club was at Hampden in 1966 ... would love to sample the atmosphere just once again in my old ageAny pointers or suggestions would be much appreciated ..Hail, HailGj

Re: Reminder Thanks popes ... don't think I've ever seen that particular video before ... it was certainly a wonderful, magical nightAt this moment I'm watching the Hoops grunting & groaning and struggling to find a way through the Dundee defence ...in front of a near-empty stadium. Many light years away from that night v Barca in your videoWhere did it all go wrong ?Don't answer that one popes ... I know what you will say haha.Never mind ... there will always be good times, and bad times ... lookin' forward to more competition, bile & poison, tribal warfare next August when that new club enter the top layer of Scottish League. That may be a new club, but no doubt they will be 'followed' by the same legions of neanderthal peeples that used to follow an old club which had a very similar name ...Ha-ha and LolGood times - bad times ... they come and go ...Hail hailGJ

Reminder Just a reminder of where Celtic should be. I think we are only a decent manager away from getting back to this. The current dross served up by a talent less manager and stubborn CEO will pass.[link]

Re: Another Saturday .. another grim rem... Never went to the game. Was at the previous 8-1 game and even that was not very good. Friday night going out your way to see that dross is those wishing to avoid the wife. The manager is simply not very good. That will not change. He is a confidence trickster for the slow of learning.

Tonights game - Hamilton Accies v Celtic Celtic dross ........I've already let loose in my previous post about 15 minutes ago about the hopelessly inept Mackay-Steven and a bundle of other favourite-Ronnie Deila players in the Celtic squad ...Just another quickie comment now ... firstly, on tonights hard-fought draw v.Hamilton Accies. Well done to you Accies ... a noble achievement, and very well done ....... a message to .... Celtic / Lawwell / Deila / the Board of Directors ... you all need to start getting a firm grip of your knnickkerz very soon .. eg reduce the wage-bill from all the dross on the payroll ...get this dribbling team manager to make the right decisions re team selections (.. struggling 1-1 drawn games v the likes of Hamilton Accies are not acceptable )If the manager has lost the support of the first-team squad .. don't farrtt about issuing statements saying " everything is rosy " ... get rid of him .. !Struggling to get a draw against Hamilton Accies - sends danger signals to me ... the obnoxious arrogant Ronny-Roar thing is long dead ... its time now to graft and grind and get good results ... no more arrogant fist-pumps Ronny ...... otherwise you will be dead meat very quickly ...GJ

Re: Another Saturday .. another grim rem... Hi popes .... interesting that your 18.57pm comment was posted just before the kick-off time for tonights game v the Accies ....Don't know if you were at the game tonight - I live in Yorkshire and could only watch it on Celtic TV ...plus I didn't get to watch the whole TV game uninterrupted, but from what I did see ... I can only endorse and stress the opinions I posted on my previous post at 21.59 last Monday ....Mackay-Steven is probably the most hopeless footballer we have had on our books since that guy Craig Beattie ... I am totally bewildered as to how that Mackay-Steven can ever get himself selected on any first-team sheet in the SPFL ... never mind at Celtic .. totally bewildered. The guy is totally and absolutely hopeless and without any talent ...collapses in a weakling heap when a defender gets within 2 yards of him - rarely wins a 50/50 tackle - rarely beats or runs round a defender without falling over - his distribution / passing ability is abysmal, his pass-rate must be only about 5% successful ... and rarely looks hungry enough to place or enable himself available for his team-mates. One of the most useless passengers I have seen for many a long year at Celtic. Even the odd rare goal he does score ... is usually a simple tap-in from less than 6 yards ... if he manages to avoid falling over himself because there may be a defender just 3 yards away ...There are quite a few other totally useless and hopeless Dead-weights on Celtic's books at the moment ... eg Ambrose, Armstrong, Ambrose, Ciftchi, Forrest .. plus a few other obscure names in the background shadows - ones who I don't know if they are still on the payroll or not ...C'mon Lawwell and the Board - get a frikkin' grip on this thing and sort it out - no serious club needs 23 below-average midfielders on their books, nor 17 so-called 'strikers' ...just cut the wage-bill and get on with the job. As popes11 says .... maybe the dopey manager should be first out the door, when the cost-cutting pruning startsLolGJ

Re: Another Saturday .. another grim reminde... Manager is a dud.He signs duds and turns not bad players into duds.In turn he gets beaten by teams that should be swept away. Oh and I also think the nice guy act is just that.

Another Saturday .. another grim reminder .. ... of just how hopeless and inept are some of our First-team squadOK, we won the game v Ross County this weekend, and I only watched it on Celtic TV ... but the WORST thing that emerged for me, was that Mackay-Steven scored a goal. Why .. ? .. beacause that almost ensures him a first-choice place next week, despite his otherwise crass performance. And if he's in the team next week, its probable that his co-ex-Dundee-under-achiever Stu Armstrong will also be in the starting line-up.IMO, signing these 2 very ordinary, very average and basically inept performers was one of the biggest mistakes Celtic have made in the transfer market in recent years.Neither of them are showing any signs of riding the crest of the wave that automatically boosts and comes with being a Celtic player. Hopeless and inept .. the pair of them ...and both are most definitely galaxies away from ever being capable of a decent performance in any future European games for Celtic. That pair are firmly only comfortable in the lower regions of the SPFL .. ... And if Ronny D wants to survive his tenure beyond next Autumn ... he also needs to seriously think of unloading a few more of his failure 'favourites' ... names like Johannson, Ambrose, Ciftci (or has he already been unloaded ?)As for James Forrest - hailed by some as the new Jinky .. yes, he had great potential, but just like McGeady - lost his way and disappeared up his own nostrils when his trickery quickly was sussed-out by rugged defenders....add to that an inability to remained fit, or uninjured for more than a few weeks at a time. Sorry, Jamesie .. you've had your big chance at Celtic ... and today's news that you refused their new contract offer might be a big mistake ... not sure where better offers might be coming your way ...right now, you appear to be "damaged goods" - ie going by your recent fitness & injury records.Hope the hinted "clear-out" at Celtic as reported in today's Daily Record takes place.... far too many expensive passengers in the Celtic squad. I don't shy away from the word 'expensive' ... as long as its good value .... but look closer at the Celtic squad of professional players ...there is a barrow-load of useless non-achievers, and hopeless never-will-achiever dross on the payrollStarting with Mackay-Steven & Armstrong, closely followed by Ambrose & Johannson & sadly, maybe Jamesie Forrest .. and then a few others ... lets get the house in some sort of order, Mr Lawwell, and unload a barrow-load of the dross. Now's the time to plan it.Next season, we don't want our noisy Govan neighbours to think they can take any liberties with our SPFL flag ... and we would also like to make a half-decent show to our European neighbours.Lol ... I enjoy a little rant on here now and again... where the free birds flyHail .. Hail LolGJ

Re: Celtic V East Kilbride. popes, you say ..... " I would take Robbie Neilson as the new manager " ....I say .... if we can get rid of Ronnie D sometime soon ... I would take on any one of these as the new Celtic manager .... Homer Simpson, Paul le Guen, Harry Redknapps dog, Tony Mowbray, Donald J Trump ... or, as a last resort ... Efe ( Iffy ) Ambrose ...Please don't forward this post to the Celtic Board ... because they might even take it seriously ...LolGJ

Scottish FA .. aka the new Monty Python show .. According to Sky Sports News HQ tonight: .... .... the draw for the Scottish Cup Sixth Round / Quarter Final Draw " had to be restarted because of a malfunction with one of the balls "Whaaatt ? ... a malfunction with one of the balls .. ? ? ?How, exactly, I ask myself ... does one of the balls " malfunction " .. ?For the-luv-O' jeezuzz ... " a malfunction of one of the balls " ?I would normally never place much credibility on such a ridiculous live Sky Sports Headline News report ... that is, if I wasn't a follower of Scottish football, and had become semi-immune to the total and abject failure, not-fit-for-purpose, and totally incompetent existence of the Scottish FA.So, as a Celtic fan ... let me wade in with our regular conspiracy-theory ( sic ) ... no apologies .. Lol & Haha) .. Could " the ball which malfunctioned " ... could that "malfunction" ball be the one which initially drew out the Sevco/Rager/Zombiy New-Club to have their next SFA Cup game away from home (assuming they get through the Away Kilmarnock replay ) ... ?Naw, surely not ... the Scottish FA-dinosaurs would never stoop so low to even think of such a scam, would they ?.. even though their close mates the Ragers-Sevco- new-club have now had about 5 or 6 or 7 Home-tie Cup draws in succession ... haha ... anybody see the joke .. ?The membership of the Scottish FA are probably quite firmly installed and secure enough within their own little comfort-zone ... and don't even realise the eyes of the European & World Football Associations are probably dripping with tears of laughter at their ineptitude & incompetence - not only to produce a half decent football team over the last 10 years ... but also their inability to conduct even the simplest of tasks ... .... ie ...organise a draw of no more than a handfull of team names out of a bowl for the next round of their major SFA Cup competition ... but no, seems like that simple task was just a bit too challenging for the Scottish FA .. they had to cancel the frikkin' thing and start all over again ...... " because one of the balls malfunctioned "Laughing stock .... I can't help thinking that maybe some of those plastic balls had a higher IQ than the comfort-zone members of the Scottish FA... LolGJ

Celtic V East Kilbride. Well done to East Kilbride. A club formed 6 years ago and run on a very tight budget. Hope the guys all enjoyed it .On to RDs Celtic. All I can say is they did not show what should be the obvious gulf in class. RD from the very start has been out his depth. Only good the will of the Celtic support has allowed him to get this far. It's not about Celtic down sizing. All clubs in Scotland are down sizing. RD and his assistants are hopeless. A total embarrasement to Celtic. It's not a case of who would be a better manager more who could be any worse. I would take Robbie Neilson as the new manager.

popes11 04 Feb 2016

Re: Poor poor poor + losing mentality All the side issues apart if you actually go and see Celtic in the flesh the lack of direction is clear. When RD gets the sack watch where his career takes him. My guess straight back to Norway then sacked again in year or so if he even manages to get a job that is.Appears to be a nice guy but it's not enough.

popes11 04 Feb 2016

Re: Poor poor poor + losing mentality I think RD has a knack of making players poorer instead of better. Under a different manager Mackay-Steven and Armstrong will be better. One of RD many weakness is he is a poor judge of player. RD strong point is he charming and likable. A lot of frauds have that character trait. He tried to freeze out LGHe tried to freeze out CommonsHe successfully got rid of Stokes. (not a fan but look at his record he gets goals)

Poor poor poor + losing mentality popes, tonights weak- kneed defeat 2-1 v Aberdeen justifies your above recent thread titles ...Aberdeen didn't really have to put in much of a fight to batter us out of sight ( and they didn't - they too were equally-woeful )Still, Celtic remain top of the division, and one would expect us to cling on and prevail over the remaining 14 SPFLeague games, given the resources we have over the other clubs. The mind boggles as to why Celtic forked out £2million ? for the chuckle-brothers Mackay-Steven and Stu Armstrong. Dundee United must still be rolling about laughing so much that they have been unable to muster up a few points to get them off the bottom of the League.Never have I seen such a pair of useless passengers in a Celtic shirt ... Armstrong is the Invisible Man ... Mackay-Steven is the master of one-accurate-pass-out-of-20 ... then he cleverly slinks away to hide in a position surrounded by 3 or 4 opponents.Who, or what on earth persuaded Celtic to sign up these two hopeless frauds ?Maybe Celtic will arrange for them to get a room together, preferably miles away from Parkhead ?And while they are at it ... maybe unload one or 2 other jokers .. names like Johanson, Ambrose, Scepovic, Cole & Boyata ... and Deila all come to mind ...Lol ... but not funnyGJ
