Phew Celtic walking a tightrope at the moment. Watched todays game on the telly and it was poor until the goal. What a goal to win the league? Might well be. Nice to see Scott McDonald get one today as well. RD having a wee curse into the bargain. A good week for him on a personal note what with people sniffing about his job. He deserved the break I reckon.Hail Hail.
Celtic v Killy Watch Killy tomorrow. They will be booting the ball out the park and playing for time from the start. Hopefully RD gets the bhoys right up for it and a comfortable win is the result. Time to get right behind the team and ask questions at end of season.
Re: 15000 today. if I were the sevco manager I would be saying get stuck right into Celtic because under Delia they are spineless . Must say I'm looking forward to RD being shown the door. I reckon another manager could get 100% more out of the current group of players.
Re: 15000 today. could be less than 15,000 for the semi-final
Re: 15000 today. I feel for you popes .. but you are a true stalwart Celtic fan to suffer today's mediocre spectacle in the cold and the wind. .... an abysmally drab excuse for a football match, and it looked like there were near as many ball-boys in attendance as fansI watched it on Sky TV ... loudest voices I heard were the goalkeepers directing the wall at free-kicks !Never mind, as I said previously ... there will be good times, and there will be bad timesBut the BIG news is .... a Scottish Cup semi-final coming up in April against a newly-formed Scottish club at Hampden. This new club will no doubt attract an ample following of left-over neanderthal - dregs of paying customers that used follow an old defunct club - one which used to be a member of the Scottish FA & Football League ... Lol .. and haha.. PSRumour has it that the SFA are today re-laying the Hampden playing surface ... in order to make it compatible and more user-friendly for the purpose of playing Association Football. Good news for Celtic - our Bhoys have had a load of problems in recent years on that bumpy boggy meadow ... LolHail - hailGJ
15000 today. At the game today. That is about as empty as I have witnessed. No atmosphere whatsoever. At least it wasn't raining.
Re: Off Topic - - - Your welcome GJ. See how much it is for parent and child and you can take me. Hope you get along later in the year to see the new firm game.
Re: Off Topic - - - good thinking there, popes. I will send the expression of interest and see what the season ticket prices are for 70 - year-olds.If tickets are transferrable to others, for the many games I would not be attending, I will give it serious thoughtYour comments & suggestions are appreciatedGJ
Re: Off Topic - - - GJExpress an interest here. [link]
Re: Off Topic - - - I think the season ticket is actually your best bet. There will be a frenzy and the expensive one off tickets will probably be hard to get. Plus I know you want the atmosphere of shouting at the Sevco fans.I don't know your age but there are special prices for the old and young.
Re: Off Topic - - - I was not thinking of booking a box. I was thinking more the ticket that you get your lunch with drinks and half time time . Drinks after the game also. I have done that before and its actually pretty good. Takes the hassle of getting parked etc. Last time I done it the cost was around £280. Perhaps you could attend with another person for about £600.Need to wait and see what they offer I suppose.Another Idea would be just buy a season ticket and go to the two newfirm games. Then you would definitely get to see the games. That would probably cost you about £500. You could always give the ticket to anyone you like who could go to the other games.I think you should go for it. One for the bucket list Jimmie.
Re: Off Topic - - - Thanks popes ... Yea, I think you're right there - maybe I will have to think of one of those grossly expensive and extortionate "Hospitality" match-day-box deals ... ( was never sure why clubs call them " hospitality" ... to me, the true meaning of that word meant you usually treat, and entertain, and dine-and-wine your friends and family ) But not so nowadays, in this modern age of insatiable, commerce-driven and greedy football clubs .... At least you have now put the notion in my head popes ... and you know what .. ? As a one-off - I think I may well look into that, and fork out some of my hard-earned pension-pot and just go for it next season - ie book a box ( or is it a Suite ? .. ffs .. a Suite ? ..Lol )Goes contrary to all my beliefs that foot-baw is, or always has been, the opium of the working-class masses .... but maybe just this once, I might be forgiven if I desert the terraces .. and munch some prawn sandwiches & sip some cheap house wine with all those fat and the inflated-ego types in the posh lounges ....LolThanks for the idea, popes hahaGJ
Re: Off Topic - - - Can't help you there GJ. All I can suggest is Celtic may do one of those tickets were you get dinner etc included and it ends up costing over £200 to see the game. Still may be worth it I suppose if it was a special trip for you.
Re: Holding Dundee to a draw at CelticPa... capable that it is. That have been my brain not allowing me to use RD and capable in the same sentence
Re: Holding Dundee to a draw at CelticPark Great entertainment tonight. Aye at the cinema which is where I was. Glad I never went to see that dross. Watched second half. Carbon copy of the game against Partick only LG never bailed out RD. Clueless out his depth manager. It's been obvious for at least a year. He is now the worst manager I have witness since starting to support Celtic back in 1984.Celtic were lucky to get that draw. Dundee missed a total sitter. Wonder which player RD will blame tonight? He usually does that after a bad result. Make no mistake the clown that is RD is cable of losing this league.
